Chapter Eleven

Robert paced back and forth in the kitchen. He didn't know what to do anymore. Was he supposed to believe Raven or was he supposed to be so concerned with his daughter's health? He pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration as he lead against the counter.

"Call me when you need anything," Beatrice suddenly said as she entered the kitchen.

"Yeah sure," Robert replied not looking at her.

"You need to take it easy Rob. If you want to help your daughter, then believe her," Beatrice said and headed towards the front door.

Robert sighed. "How could I –" he cut himself off when he found out that Beatrice had already left. He gave another sigh and headed upstairs to check on Raven but stopped when he heard a giggle.

"Thanks daddy," he heard a familiar voice say.

Robert gulped and turned around, finding Rebecca in her burial clothes with a smile.

      "Rebecca," he breathed.

"Yes daddy. Did you miss me?" she asked cheerfully.

      "But you're dead," he muttered.

     "No daddy. I'm alive, I'm here aren't I?"

Call me when you need anything¸ Robert remembered Beatrice words. He reached into his pocket for his phone but felt nothing.

"Looking for this daddy?" Rebecca asked making Robert look at Rebecca again. She was waggling Robert's phone with a smile.

      "Yes," was all he replied.

"But daddy, I just got here, and mommy just died. Why are you calling work?"

"Give me the phone Rebecca," Robert ordered.

      "But daddy –"

"No buts Rebecca. Give me my phone."

     "Who are you calling daddy?"

"I'm calling your aunt. Now, be a good girl and give me my phone Rebecca."

"But daddy, aunt Beatrice is busy."

"She will answer. Now, give it to me. I still have to check on your sister."

Rebecca's face turned sour and her mouth twitched and she made a smirk. She looked at Robert hard, her jaw clenched and her brows creased. Her breathing deepened and her eyes full of jealousy and rage. Blood  streamed down her face as she balled her hands into fists

"It's always Raven, Raven, Raven! Why don't you care about me huh? Why? Why does it always have to be her and not me? Even before I died it's always about her! What's so special about her dad? What does she have that I don't?" she exclaimed in an aggravated tone.

"A heart," was a simple reply from Robert. Rebecca screamed in a piercing tone theny disappeared.

Raven cried through swollen eyes as she threw pillows across the room.

"Look at you, so crushed," a voice mockingly said making Raven stop and snapped her attention towards Rebecca who was standing near the window seat.

"You! You bastard!" she exclaimed and started throwing pillows at Rebecca.

The pillows went through her and Rebecca laughed.
