Gaara blinked his eyes a few times. "A bit more than that?...wait you think that we'll end up together?"

"Well why not? You seem to care a lot for her and she seems to go to you more than to Kankuro or Temari."

Gaara sighed out. "I don't think I have what it takes to love someone mother-especially someone as weak minded as she is."

"I know you do, you just need the confidence to do so. You will be able to love and open yourself up to her soon enough." His mother said before saying goodnight to him and leaving him in the young brunettes room.

Gaara whined out a bit as he looked down to Sarina who was contently asleep against his chest. He didn't know why he felt like he should be protective over her-he didn't think that he'd ever want to protect anyone that wasn't family before. But here he was feeling that way over someone he met once due to Kankuro being with her elder sister.

Gaara closed his eyes as he remembered that day when his family was watching the news as they saw the house where Sarina lived completely burn down. The news reporter said that all but one person from the house that started the fire had died and there was no whereabouts for the missing person who was apparently underage. From what he remembered being said-there was no search party for the young brunette woman which is when Gaara offered to find her and help her onto her feet.

His parents liked the idea since they knew the fake personalities that they saw out of Marcus and Sabrina, Kankuro and Temari helped since they wanted to see for themselves just how bad things had gotten for Sarina. But they didn't know where to start looking for her-which didn't stop them from continuing to search for the brunette female. It wasn't until Gaara heard her hysterical laugh and what she said that made him find where she had been hiding for two entire years.

Thankfully Temari was able to throw a large trashcan at the male that had engaged Sarina. What he hadn't expected was for her to hide herself from him and try to push him away from her. He didn't think she'd do something that would make her seem very fragile like. Then again it went along with the fact that when he picked her up that night-she weighed next to nothing. He only hoped that she wouldn't stay all skin and bones throughout the time that she lived with his family.

Gaara soon fell asleep as he shifted himself under the brunette female as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her body close to his gently. When Gaara woke up he realized that he slept more than his usual two to three hours as he saw that it was ten in the morning due to his watch. He looked down to see that Sarina was still asleep but she had a tight hold on his black Blood on the dance floor T-shirt.

He stayed put until she woke up a half hour later. She realized then how close the two of them were and blushed as she instantly jumped out of the bed. "G-Gaara I'm so sorry...I...I didn't mean to fall asleep on you!"

Gaara sat up and he ran one of his hands through his hair. "It's fine. I didn't mind, you seemed very peaceful at first. I didn't expect you to hold onto me like you did though."

"This is really awkward. I..I really didn't mean to fall asleep on you Gaara."

"I told you it's fine." Gaara said getting up

He realized then that his mother or Temari must have placed her clothes in the room due to the bags on the side of the room and the light being off. He rubbed the back of his neck. "Don't get dramatic over it Sarina-things like that will happen when you get emotional about the past. I expect nothing less out of you, let's just not make it a habit okay?"

She frowned but nodded her head as she looked to him. "O-Okay Gaara."

"You must be uncomfortable with the clothes you're wearing. Either my mother or sister brought the rest of your clothes up-change and you can meet me downstairs." Gaara said before he shut the door.
