Chapter nineteen: The Bully Ex

Once Sarina went back to school she acted just the same as she had been before-with the only change being that she held hands with Gaara in school. When it came to the classes she had with Gaara she spoke a lot to him which began to make a certain brunette who had been watching them be fairly jealous. The jealousy turned to rage as she heard Sakura talking to Sarina about Gaara in the PE locker room.

"So now that we're taken ladies do you think there'll be a time where we can go on a double date?" Sakura asked Sarina with a smile

"I dunno, I want to go on a date with Gaara solo first before asking something like that to him. I have to say though-I wasn't expecting Gaara to become possessive, almost clingy like with me." Sarina said sheepishly

"Well take into consideration that boy has been eying you since you two first met-of course he'll be that way with you." Sakura said with a chuckle

"Eehhh, Do you think he'll always be like that though?" Sarina asked curiously

"Maybe, Sasuke has been hot on my butt since we got together too so it might just be a guy thing." Sakura said with a grin

"Oh...okay then." Sarina said shrugging a bit

"So Sarina-how have things been while being with Gaara?" Temari asked as she went up to the duo

Sarina blushed as she averted her eyes. "I think it's been good so far. He's been a lot nicer and he talks to me a lot more now."

"That's good. I'm glad to hear that. Do you think he'll ever take you out?" Temari asked

"I don't know-I mean we just got together a few days ago. It might take some while before he does something like that." Sarina said with a shrug

Matsuri knew she'd have to talk to Sarina alone about Gaara but chose to just overhear what was being said for the most part. She didn't like that someone else had gotten with Gaara when she still loved him. All throughout PE Matsuri was cold towards Sarina for being with Gaara, Once classes ended Matsuri waited until Sarina was by her locker to talk to her. She tapped on the brunette female's shoulder getting her to look at her.

"May I help you?" Sarina asked curiously

"Yeah you can...please don't get too involved with Gaara. He'll only do to you what he did to me."

Sarina looked confused. "What do you mean?"

Matsuri sighed and rubbed between her eyes. "Gaara was only with me for three weeks before he dumped me, he told me that he didn't think he could be in a relationship. Knowing that he's with you-I wanted to warn you...you might end up in the same situation."

Sarina shook her head as she smiled at Matsuri. "That won't happen Matsuri. I know you're trying to look out for me and I appreciate that but Gaara wouldn't do that with me. I guess I should tell you since I know he won't-he broke up with you since all he could think of was me at the time. You see I knew Gaara when I was thirteen-I didn't expect him to like me just by being around me for one day. But he had and I guess it was just one thing after another when it came to his mind. He found himself becoming more and more obsessed with finding me since by that time I was homeless without a family."

Matsuri felt hurt knowing what Sarina told her, she knew now that it was because of Sarina's existence that she had lost her only boyfriend. She faked a smile for Sarina's sake and placed her hands together. "I see, well thank you for saying that Sarina. But still be careful." She said before she went to her own locker.

Matsuri then saw Gaara go up to her and hug her which hurt Matsuri to see. Once more people left the building Matsuri went to Sarina's locker as she began to tape things to it with a grin on her face. Afterwards she pick locked the locker before she stuffed a bunch of old tomatoes in her locker before shutting it quickly. With a dark chuckle Matsuri left feeling accomplished-when it became the next day she watched from her locker seeing the horrified look on Sarina's face seeing the many things that were taped on her locker.

Matsuri smirked and just got her things out of her locker before she heard squealing only to see that Sarina had opened her locker just to have the rotten tomatoes go all over her clothes. Sarina then began to sob out as she fell to the ground. Gaara and Sasuke both came up to her and helped her up before glaring at the people that were just staring at her.

"Stop staring at her! This isn't funny at all!" Sasuke hissed out before he and Gaara helped Sarina to the nurses office.

Matsuri went to her homeroom class feeling achieved of herself only to be called down after first period to the principals office. Feeling confused she went down only to see Sarina still covered in the rotten Tomatoes with Gaara by her side. The principal glared at her.

"Matsuri tell me the truth" Tsunade said before she slammed her hand down on the papers that she had stuck on Sarina's locker. "Did you place these on Sarina's locker?"

"No ma'am." Matsuri lied

"Then why is it in your hand writing."

"Ma'am I didn't do it."

"Now that's a lie." Shikamaru said as he came into the room

Matsuri looked to him curiously before Shikamaru got his phone out. "I saw what you did to Sarina's locker right after you talked to her. I have it all right here on my phone."

"May I see it Shikamaru?" Tsunade asked

Shikamaru got the video up and he let the principal see it only for her to soon after get a slip out. "You have three days of in school suspension. You know this school has a no bullying policy Matsuri." Tsunade said seriously

"What?! But why?!" Matsuri asked confused

"You pick locked another students locker placed in rotten tomatoes in it and wrote vulgar slurs on pieces of paper that were stuck to her locker. That's why. You are lucky that I'm just giving you suspension instead of kicking you out of this school." Tsunade said seriously

Matsuri huffed out as she averted her eyes. "This is dumb! I was just trying to get my boyfriend back."

"Boyfriend? You're talking about Gaara?" Shikamaru asked

"Yes! He was with me but he dumped me cause of that woman! If she didn't exist this wouldn't be a problem!" Matsuri said as she pointed to Sarina harshly

Sarina's eyes widen before she looked down sadly. Gaara glared at Matsuri. "I knew Sarina way before I knew you, anyways she's kinder and is more reasonable than you are. Get over yourself there's more than just because of Sarina that made me want to leave you. But you won't hear it out of me. Take your punishment for what you've done to Sarina." Gaara said seriously

Matsuri's eyes widen. "W-What?! You're seriously siding with her?!"

"Of course I am, she's my girlfriend and the victim here not you." Gaara said seriously

Tsunade looked to Gaara and Sarina. "Gaara take her home, I'll let Kankuro and Temari know about this and excuse the two of you today."

"Alright thank you." Gaara said before he took Sarina out of the office.

Matsuri was then scolded in the office which pissed her off that she didn't get away with getting Sarina away from Gaara. She ended up spending the rest of the day in school detention sulking as she did her work in silence. As she did she thought about other ways to get Gaara and Sarina away from one another so she'd be able to get Gaara once more. Then it hit her to talk to a few people who she knew hated Sarina even before she had gotten into the school. After school Mitsuri went up to two males who were talking outside of the school.
