Chapter thirty three: Winter break...

When Sarina was done with work the day before christmas Eve, Ino and her father came up to her. "Sarina do you have any plans for Christmas?" Ino asked curiously

"Sleep and train my arse off. I'm not a religious person and I don't expect things to be any different. Don't worry about me-I'll be fine." Sarina said with a shrug as she got her jacket and coat on

"Are you sure, we could take you in for the night." Ino said concerned

Sarina sighed and closed her eyes rubbing between them before she opened her eyes and looked back to Ino. "Thank you for the offer Ino, but I'm okay. If I was to be around people things would just repeat themselves. Just pretend I'm not around alright? It'll be best for both parties." Sarina said before she left out "Happy holidays you two."

Sarina then went to her apartment only to frown as she got into the apartment. She had been invited to a Christmas party by Temari but she didn't think she be anywhere near the house-too many memories. She knew damn well that Matsuri would be there so she called Temari who instantly answered.

"Sarina! Good to hear from you? Did you get the invite I sent out to you?" Temari asked

"That's why I am calling you right now. I am not going-Mitsuri is going to be there cause of Gaara. So not gunna happen." Sarina said with a sigh as she closed her eyes.

"No she's not. Gaara finally broke up with her-Kankuro and a bunch of people witnessed it too." Temari said happily

"W-What? F-For real?" Sarina asked as she opened her eyes shocked

"For real. C'mon pretty please! I haven't seen you in months! I wanna see how you've been doin'!" Temari pleaded

"Fine, what are the expectations for the party?" Sarina asked

"You need to get one person a gift-and it's already been sorted out. The person you're getting a gift for is Kankuro-I think he's pretty easy to buy for don't you?" Temari asked, obviously really happy to hear that Sarina was going to be at the party

"Hm...alright. Yeah he is pretty easy to buy for. Well looks like I'm going out to get a gift for Kankuro. Talk to you later."

"Mhm yeah byes! See you tomorrow!"

After hanging up Sarina grabbed her wallet and stuck it in her back pocket, she then walked out and went to the nearest store. She knew Kankuro's interests since talking to him a lot. She placed a lot of thought into Kankuro's gift and bought him something she knew he'd like. Once she got home and wrapped it up she took a shower. As she got out she heard her phone go off and saw that it was Kankuro, she answered it with a smile on her face.

"Heya Kankuro, what's up?"

"Temari told me you're gunna be here for the Christmas party we're having here is that true?" Kankuro asked curiously

"Mhm, tis true I am. The only reason I am is cause Matsuri won't be a problem anymore. Can you vouch for Gaara actually breaking up with her?" Sarina asked

"Oh yeah-I can. I have it on video. It was right after you left too."

"Oh snaps...Welp I can't want for tomorrow then. Do you know how many people are going to be there tomorrow?"

"Yeah actually I do. She invited, you, Ino, Sakura, Shikamaru, Sai, Sasuke, Itachi, Deidara, and like three of her friends from the posse she was with."

"Oh...I see. She isn't going to try to hook Gaara and I up again is she?" Sarina asked unease

"I dunno about that, I know a few of the games that Temari has planned not all of them though. She's keeping a lot to herself and I don't know just what's going on with her. Ever since she heard about Gaara breaking up with Matsuri she's been excited to hear from you-then after talking to you she's been supper hyped about you coming over to the party."

"Is it safe to say that you aren't the one getting me a present and that she has someone else planned to do so?" Sarina asked

"Yeah it is-I know who too."

Sarina sighed and rolled her eyes. "Damn it Temari-she's going to hook us up I just know it." Sarina whined out

"We'll see..See you tomorrow."
