The month of March went past quickly as did the month of April. As the days in May became closer and closer Sarina saw a bit of a change in how Gaara and Kankuro acted around her. Whenever she was around them they would stop whispering to one another and act as if nothing was wrong. She didn't understand what was going on, she felt very confused so she went to talk to Temari about it to see just what she knew.

"Temari, mind if I ask you something random?" Sarina asked as she helped Temari with dinner that night

"Sure thing-what's up?" Temari asked with a smile

"Do you know what's up with Kankuro and Gaara's attitude towards me. I see them whispering a lot and when they see me they act like they weren't just whispering around me" Sarina explained as she asked the blond female.

Temari sighed and shook her head. "I dunno, those two have been really weird as of late. Who knows what's going on inside their heads. They're males it could be something really damn perverted for all we know. It's best not to pry too much alright?" Temari said with a shrug "Oh! Sarina question for you. Since your birthday is coming up soon what type of dinner did you want that night and what flavor cake did you want?"

Sarina looked to her confused. "My...birthday? That get's celebrated?" Sarina asked confused

Temari looked to her sadly. "I'm not all that surprised that you've asked that. Yeah your birthday will be celebrated-you're turning sixteen after all. Plus it's the first birthday that you'll be celebrating with people who love and care bunches for ya." Temari said as she smiled at the brunette female.

Sarina thought for a moment. "Hm...I like strawberries. They're really sweet." Sarina commented "And I really enjoy Pizza."

"That's good enough for me. So a strawberry cake and Pizza for dinner. Sounds like a plan to me, anything in particular you'd want for your birthday?" Temari asked curiously

"No-not really. I'm not really greedy or picky. I'd just be happy spending my birthday with Gaara, you and Kankuro." Sarina said with a smile

Temari smiled at her before she hugged the young girl making her face go into her breasts. "You're such a innocent little girl! How did so many bad things happen to you!?" Temari said sincerely

"It's cause I'm a monster Temari...I don't expect the relationship that I have with Gaara to last." Sarina said shaking her head

Temari rose an eyebrow at her. "What do you mean? You two look so adorable together!"

"It's been three months and Gaara still hasn't said 'I love you' to me. I'm starting to think that he said that he wanted to be with me to make up for the fact that he vocally had said that he hated me." Sarina said sadly

Temari looked to her sadly after draining the noodles. "You need to give that type of stuff time. Every couple is different, especially since the two of you have so much hurt and need to built that trust up again." Temari explained

Sarina looked confused. "I thought we had which is why I sleep beside him now instead of in the room I had been before." Sarina asked confused.

"That's just his way of protecting you. It's just how he is."

Sarina looked down sadly. "I..He doesn't trust me. Does he?" Sarina asked sadly

"I don't think it's him not trusting you-I think it's the other way around."

Sarina was silent for a while before her serving of food was made, she then isolated herself in her room as she thought about what Temari said to her. Gaara didn't think that she trusted him-that hurt to hear. Of course she trusted him, why else would she have slept beside him and allow him to see her so weak? Was there something else that needed to happen for him to be able to see that she trust him.
