Chapter 14

Ashton's Pov:

"Are you alright?" I asked Jade, her eyes beginning to water.

"Yeah I was just thinking of my past. When I used to have a family..." She pauses, tears running down her face."My Dad dated, my now bestfriends mum, I consider her as my sister though. That was when I felt safe. I had a family, a proper one. We used to do stuff that family's did, come down to this beach and learn to surf. It was fun. As the years went on my Dad eventually kicked them out, I was devastated. That was when me and my sister Tahni's life went down hill. My father would be in and out of jail and I would constantly fight with my Mum and step-dad. As soon as I turned 18, I moved out of my Mums house. Tahni would fight with her Dad, and sometimes her Mum. She got sick of it as well and we moved into an apartment together. I would rarely talk to my Mum, I would only talk her if I needed money. Which was rarely. Tahni would talk to her Mum more than me, every second weekend she would go over to her house. It was that weekend that is why you haven't met her yet. She would never talk to her Dad she still hated him till this day. I wouldn't talk to my Dad because he is still in jail." She stops and puts her hands over her face. I hear her sob. We are at her house so I immediately jump out of the car and go to the passenger side of the car.

"Jade, look at me." She lifts her hand away from her face and looks down at her hands."look at me." I repeat. She does exactly that."It will be alright, trust me." I look into her bloodshot eyes trying not to cry as well.

"H..how do you know?" She asks. I don't really know the answer.

"I don't know," she looks down at her hands again and I cup her cheeks."But what I do know is that I am going to comfort you, whenever it's possible." I stop and she grabs my face, crashing her lips against mine.

"Thank you." She smiles into my lips. Our mouths go to war with each other. She opens her mouth allowing my tongue to slide in. She lightly drags her tongue against my bottom lip. She pulls away."Thank you. For everything." She gets out of the car and we walk to the front door. She gives me a quick hug and unlocks the front door letting herself in. Leaving me outside. This girl makes me, feel so good. The taste of her mouth is so nice. I can't just leave. I need to tell her how I feel about her. I knock on the door waiting for her to open it.
