Chapter 24

Jade's Pov:

As we got home from the shops Ashton was sitting at the front door waiting for us. Well me. I gave him a sour look as i looked out the window.
"You should talk to him." Tahni and Dad say together.
"You think. I mean it was quick for him to come around." I sigh.
"That's a good thing, he obviously likes you, a lot. Just when you talk to him don't be too sassy, I know my daughter can be very sassy person sometimes, you get it from me." Dad laughs as we get out of the car. Ashton stands up and moves out of the way for Tahni and my father. Tahni shuts the door behind her and I walk up to Ashton.
"Jade I came to explain everything." He fiddles with his hands.
"Yeah, okay. I will let you explain and then I will tell you my feelings after. Sit down." I pat across from me and he sits opposite me.
"Well first of all a I am sorry about before. I will start from when we were at the shops, okay?"
"Okay." I briefly answer and prepare myself for his long speech.
"Well when I went to the shops with Chelsea, I only went because you kinda rejected me the night before, and I couldn't get you off of my mind. So Chelsea asked if I wanted to go to the shops with her and I accepted her offer because I was heart broken that you didn't feel the same about me."
"Just to tell you I never said I didn't feel the same about you, I just said I didnt know my feelings yet, I was lost." I cut him off. "Sorry continue."
"I came to the party the other night because I wanted to talk to you. I didn't come to take advantage of you drunk, I simply wanted to talk to you and I knew that you would be easier to talk to you if your weren't sober. I know it was a stupid move and I regret doing that, and I needed to talk to you as soon as possible, I didn't want you to think that I am a complete fuck up. Which I am. So I had to clear it up with you." Tears begin to prick my eyes. "Lastly, I asked Chelsea if she wanted to hang out today because I thought that was it. I literally thought that you were going to hate me forever, so I decided that I was going to try to move on, I know I wouldn't have been able to stop thinking of you. Clearly that was another very bad move like the rest of them and I am extremely sorry for all the times that I have fucked up. Jade this is no joke, as soon as you left my before it all clicked. I told Chelsea that we couldn't talk anymore, not even as friends. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if your are angry at me. Actually. I can't live without you, Jade." Tears build up and begin to run down my face as Ashton finishes. He looks down at his hands and I put my fingers under his chin and lift his head to be eye level with mine. I lean closer to him and kiss him passionately. His lips are soft and warm. I slightly open my mouth to let him in. I have desperately been waiting for this moment since I first kissed him.
"Ash, that was beautiful. Well I know you were just telling me why you did the things you did but me knowing just has made me think good of you." I smile wiping the tears off of my face.
"I didn't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing that I made you cry." He laughs. His laugh is something I have wanted to hear all week.
"But Ash, I'm not going to reject you right now. But could you do me a favour, would you be able to give me time to think through everything?" I ask him. Hopefully he doesn't think that I don't want him, because I do.
"Yep, of coarse anything. But let me ask you a question. If I asked you out on a date, what would you say?" This question shocks me. I'm pretty sure my eyes go wide, in a good way.
"To be honest. I would most probably say yes, I can't keep myself away from you." I admitt.
"Well, once you cleared your head. Will you go on a date with me?" I could feel this coming, I just didn't know when to expect it.
"Umm," I try to look as disappointed as possible. "Of coarse, Ashton why wouldn't I?"
"Because I am probably the biggest fuck up ever." He laughs. "So should I go now?" He awkwardly asks looking down at his hands again.
"Yeah, probably if you don't I might rip your head off." I joke and his eyes goes wide. "I am fucking joking!" I laugh and he joins me.
"Okay. Well I'm going to go now." He smiles and makes his way to his car.
"Wait, Ash!" I call to him and run towards him. I jump into his arms and give him another passionate kiss. "Bye." I smirk and walk back up to my house. I wave goodbye and watch as he drives away.
