Chapter 52

~Ashton~

“Hey guys I have to quickly go out and do something. Jade will be here in ‘bout ten minutes are you alright to stay here by yourselves until she gets here?” I ask my siblings quickly.

“Yeah sure. How long will you be?” Lauren asks.

“Uhm, I don’t know. I will leave some money on the kitchen table for dinner if I don’t get back in time. I really have to go, see you tonight or tomorrow.” I smile and make my way into the garage. I open the garage door  and get into my car as quickly as I can. I turn on the ignition and drive out of my driveway. 

Mum has got herself into a bit of trouble and she is stuck. She didn’t tell me the address or anything of where she was she just said she is across the road from the Westfield shopping centre. 

“Fucking hell.” I grumble to myself, slamming my hands down on the steering wheel causing my horn to go off. I am currently on the motorway and there is traffic. I steer my car to the side of the road onto the side part and drive down the non-existent lane. Driving pass all the traffic I pull off the highway onto the exit and drive as quickly as I can to where mum said she was. Slamming on my brakes I see a car that is slammed against a tree with the front of the car hardly there. Smoke coming from the bonnet I attempt to look through the smoke filled car to see the driver.

“Knock, Knock!” I yell through the front door.

“Coming!” Harry yells back. I awkwardly stand at the front door for a few seconds when I hear the door beginning to unlock 

“Hi.” He says shortly opening the screen door to let me in.

“Hello. Where is your sister?” I ask curiously. 

“She is in her room. She is getting worried about Ash. Do you know where he went?” He replies looking down at his hands.

“I don’t think it is my responsibility to tell you what Ashton is doing.” I reply putting my hand under his chin pulling it up so I can look him in the eyes.

“Okay. I just want to know if he is okay.” He smiles upsettingly. 

“He will be fine.” I reassure giving him a kiss on his forehead.

“Jade? Can we get maccas for dinner? Ash left some money on the bench just incase he didn’t get home intake to feed us.”

“Yeah sure. Do you want to get it now or a bit later?” I question him.

“Maybe a bit later, yeah?” He smiles.

“Yeah sure, just let me know when and we can go get it.” 

~Ashton~

“Hello? Can I please get an ambulance here asap?” I say stressfully.

“Yeah sure, where about are you sir?” The woman asks. 

“I am across the road from Helensvale Westfield.” I reply slightly hyperventilating.

“They are on their way, they will be about 10 minutes. Could i quickly grab some details?” She says calmly.

“Yeah sure.” I try to calm down.

“Can I please have the Name, Gender and your relation of the person that is in trouble?”

“Uhm, Anne Marie Irwin, she is female and she is my mum.” I say shakily.

“Okay thank you. The ambulance will be there shortly.” She measures and the line goes dead. I make my way back over to the car and I look in the window. I see her sitting in the driver seat, her eyes shut and blood pouring out of her head.

I attempt to open the door but it doesn’t budge. Tears begin to flow down my face as I fail to look away at the accident infant of me. I bang on the window to try get her to wake up but it is no use. Sliding my back down the side of the car, sitting down on the ground, I bury my face in my hands not being able to control my emotions I cry. 

Waves of tears flow down my cheeks as I think of the scenarios. A ear pricing sound fulfils my ears and I look up from my hands to see the ambulance coming towards me. I wactch as two men and a woman jump out of the vechile and run towards my mums car. Iwatch as the woman opens the back of the ambulance and pulls out a bed.

"Sir are you her son?" The woman asks.

"Y-yes." I stutter.

"Come with me. I will get you to sit in the front seat." She demands.

"Will she be okay?" I ask tears still flowing down my face.

"I am not promising anything. But im sure she will be fine." She smiles and I hop into the front seat.
