The elemental master had joined the ninjas on the bounty and they all wanted an explanation. But the ninjas refused to give an answer to their questions unless Kai was okay with it. And he had locked himself in his room and refused to leave.

He just didn't want to talk to anyone.

Lloyd had been his best friend for a long time, and now he was his boyfriend. Kai loved Lloyd, a lot, and they shared almost everything with each other.

But with Shadow kidnapped, Kai felt like a part of him were missing.

He was the only one that Kai could talk about everything with. The only one who understood him completely.

And now he was kidnapped by the same man who tried to kill him two months ago.

"Argh!" Kai punched the wall with a burning fist, leaving a burn mark. "How am I going to help him?"

There was a knock on the door followed by a voice Kai knew very well, "Kai, the elemental masters want to know what's going on and we don't feel like it's right to tell them without you being there."

Kai let out a sigh, "I'm coming. Just.....Just give me a minute..."

Lloyd sighed and then walked away from Kai's door. He went to the living room where everyone was gathered. Walking up to the others he stopped next to Nya.

"Is he okay?" Her voice showed concern.

"I think so. But we have to keep an eye on him in case he lashes out again." Nya nodded.

Kai had already lashed out at Shade three times since they got to the bounty and they really didn't need him to do it again.

Kai then stepped into the room, he had his hood up and in his left hand, he held Shadow's necklace.

Everyone turned to him and he turned to Lloyd who gave a nod.

Kai let out a sigh and turned back to the elemental masters, his face going to a rather serious look.

"As you all know, Shadow is kidnapped. And I am no idiot. I know that all of you see no reason to try and save him. But let me tell you all something. Shadow has changed. He is no longer the monster that kidnapped you and took your powers. When I defeated him, he started becoming more human. He started to feel things that he had never felt before. His eyes started turning auburn. And the more he felt welcomed and human, the more his eyes became auburn. Until they no longer were blood red at all. He saved me even before that. When the others got kidnapped by the man you all saw in the park, I had to go in alone to save them. And when we all came into a fight with the bad guys who worked for that man, there was one of them who almost killed me with a knife. But Shadow came and saved me before that happened. He helped out in the fight and after that the others forgave him. But the man ended up pointing a gun at Shadow.....

....But I took the bullet."

The elemental masters stared at Kai as if he was crazy.

Lloyd walked up next to the red ninja, "I was still not fully trusting of Shadow but after he and I had a talk, I understood why Kai trusted him so much. I called him a monster many times, but after hearing him apologize for what he had done, I started calling him a friend, and a few days later, a big brother. He has changed. I know what I said before, but I was wrong. He did deserve a second chance, and when I wasn't there to give it to him, Kai was. He gave Shadow the second chance he needed and thanks to that, we gained a new family member."

The elemental masters shared glances and started mumbling to each other.

Nya walked up next to Lloyd, "I see Shadow as my second big brother, and it doesn't matter if you decide to help out or not, because we're saving him."
