S4: Epilogue

The days after the fight with Matt had gone by so slow in Shadow's opinion that sometimes he thought the time had stopped completely. Every day, he heard the voice in his head, constantly telling him to give up on being a hero and become a villain, and every time Shadow had the same response, "That's not who I am anymore." but the more times he said it, the less he actually believed it was the truth.

Shadow's POV

It was late evening and I was standing by the railing, my bad side had tried every day to make me become a villain, but I never did. And just like every day ever since the fight with Matt, I felt like something was wrong.

Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath, I tried to calm down, but that's when I heard it.

"You really have changed, haven't you?"

My previously closed eyes were now fully open and wide of fear.

No......It can't be...... I clenched my fists and closed my eyes tight. "He's not real. He's not real. He's not real." I said repeatedly to convince myself that it was just my imagination. But it sounded so real, like if he was actually here. But he can't be, he's just in my head.

I am in your head Shadow. Only you think you actually heard me. I guess you really do see me as my own person. Which is actually flattering seeing as I'm a part of you.

You think I see you as your own person. Dream on, I know you are just some freak that is stuck in my head just because I wasn't like I was supposed to be when I came to Ninjago. I know I was supposed to be evil back then, but I wasn't. So you showed up to fix the problem, and not I can't get rid of you.

Do you want to get rid of me?

Yes, I do. I really do.

Well, that's too bad. Because I'm here to stay.

I let out a chuckle, I've already figured that out. But I'm wondering, what is your name? If you even have one.

Have you forgotten, you gave me a name a long time ago, and don't think I didn't know about that.

You mean...you actually like that name?

Well, yeah, I do like it. It's simple and has a nice tone to it.

Wasn't it you who named me Shadow?

Yeah, it was. Back then I thought it was fitting, plus it's not like you had any name ideas.

Maybe I would have come up with a good name if you hadn't taken control and manipulated me into letting you hurt people.

Yeah, that's fair. But it's not like you made it easy for me either.

That was the point! You think I wanted to make it easy for you to hurt people!?

Geez, calm down. Have you forgotten to thank me for not killing your friend?

He's not my friend! And sure, you didn't kill him, but now he's out there somewhere and no one knows where! He could be killing people for all we know!

But you were the one who told me not to kill him!

Yeah but making sure he was caught was something I thought you could understand by yourself, but I guess I was wrong!

You know I could have killed him right then and there and then kept control and killed more people, but I didn't! So a small thank you would be nice!

I was stunned, was he actually asking for a thank you because he didn't kill people. Fine! Thank you, Luca, for not killing Matt as well as the others!

You're welcome! See that wasn't so hard not was it!?

It was hard when thinking about everything you did to me in the past!?

Okay, look, I'm not here to listen to you complaining about that! I'm going to ignore you until you've calmed down.

Don't you dare! Luca!

He didn't respond and I sighed, "I need a drink."

After telling Kai and the others that I was heading out, I used Airjitzu to get down from the bounty and then headed towards the bar outside of the city.

How did my life get so twisted?

A/N So, yeah. That was the end of season four. Season five, if I decide to continue, will be in a new book, the reason for that is because the next season will be a lot longer and very different from the others, (at least if everything goes as I've planned). But as I said, that's only if I decide to continue. As I mentioned before, I love writing this story, but the lack of support on the latest chapters are making it hard for me to enjoy it as much as before. (Now a little while later I've noticed that the support has gone up a bit, something which I thank you all for)

But if everything goes according to plan with season five, then it will include the following:

1. Animals/pets

2. Some new OCs

3. More insight on who Luca is and his relationship with Shadow (I love to write their conversations with each other)

4. Probably some more greenflame moments, also I have a plan for something big that is greenflame related, but I'm not sure if that is appearing in season five or another time in the future. I will also try to include more bruise seeing as I know I have Bruise fans reading this ;).

5. Angst on Shadow, Kai, and Amy's side.

6. Some rivalry between Kai and one of the OCs.

And then the things I'm most anxious about:

7. Some songs. (still not sure if this will be happening, since I'm having some trouble finding ones that fit as well as moments where I can put them in)

8. And a few chapters that will be happening during the same time as other chapters in the season. So yeah, a few chapters will be happening parallel to each other, hopefully, I can do it properly.

Also, if you want me to continue and write season five, then you'll have to be patient, because I already know it will take time, even more so now that I've started school again and don't have much spare time to write at this current moment, also, writer's block is a bitch. So I hope you all can respect that and I'll let you all know if and when the next season is uploaded. (probably not as much time as I thought seeing as I've kinda already started on it)
