After a long day of patrolling the city and helping people out with small things, Shadow went back to the park.

The sun had started to go down which meant Shadow's day of helping people was over.

He pulled down his hood and closed his eyes for a moment.

"Rough day?"

Shadow opened his eyes and saw a boy standing by a tree on the other side of the walkway.

He had short messy black hair with blue colored bang tops, his eyes were blood red. Over his right eye was a long scar that went from his forehead to near the right end of his mouth. He was wearing a black leather jacket with a blue dragon on the back (like the picture above only it's blue instead of black), a pair of black ripped jeans, and black sneakers with blue details. Under his jacket, he had a plain dark blue shirt.

Shadow chuckled, "Yeah, you can say that."

The boy walked over to the bench and sat down next to Shadow, his arms resting on the backrest. "So, what's going on dude?"

Shadow wondered if he could trust this guy, after all, they had never met before. But telling him some parts of the truth won't hurt, right?

"I had a hard time sleeping last night and ended up yelling at my little sister when she was only worried about me."

"Oh, sucks. I hope you at least apologized to her."

"Yeah, I did. But I still feel awful about it. Mainly because I hate when my family worries about me."

"Well, you're lucky to have a family. I have lived with my uncle for twelve years because my father wasn't capable to take care of me. I always wanted to meet him though, but a few months ago I found out he had died. And my adopted little sister was murdered six years ago so my uncle is all I have now."

"Whoa, that sucks."

"Yeah, but I never really knew my father that well, so it doesn't hurt as much. But I miss my sister a lot."

"Yeah, I get it. If my sister would get killed them I would miss her too. And my twin brother for that matter. Or any of my family really."

"You have a twin brother?"

"Yeah, he's pretty cool. But he's been spending so much time with me that he hadn't hung out with his boyfriend as much. So I kinda got out of the way so they could spend some time together."

"Well, that's nice of you." The boy smiled.

"Yeah, I guess it is." Shadow sighed.

The boy looked at Shadow with questioning eyes, "Okay, what is bothering you?"

"I just have been having nightmares lately and I can't seem to make them go away. And I've also been distracted a lot because of a girl."

"Ohhh, a girl."

Shadow chuckled, "Hey, it's not like that. I'm just worried about her. She's in the hospital, and it's kinda my fault."

"How is it your fault?"

"I took too much time to save her so she got badly hurt."

"Well, she's alive, isn't she?"

"Yeah, but-"

"Then that's it. She's alive thanks to you. Her wounds will heal, but losing her life wouldn't have healed. So you shouldn't be blaming yourself for her being in there. She's there instead of on a graveyard because of you."

"I guess you're right." Shadow smiled, "Thanks."

"No problem."

Shadow looked up at the sky and saw that the moon had risen. "Maybe I should head back home. My family might be worried about me. I know at least my brother and sister are."
