Ten days after Shadow had woken up from his coma things were starting to go back to how it was before.
Kai and Shadow hadn't told the others about Shadow's decision to reveal himself to Ninjago yet. But they were planning to tell them this night.
The ninjas were all sitting by the dinner table, eating. Shadow only played with his food though. He was extremely nervous about telling Ninjago about him existing.
Kai saw the nervous look on his brother's face and let out a sigh. "Shadow and I have something to tell you guys."
Everyone turned to the two fire masters and Shadow gave Kai a nervous but annoyed glare.
"So~?"
Shadow sighed, "I've decided to tell the rest of Ninjago that I exist."
The others stared at Shadow.
"Are you sure?" Nya asked, concerned. "There's no going back if you do."
"They already know something is up after the bounty have been parked on the hospital roof for over two weeks. And even before that, there were rumors going around that I existed. They will find out eventually anyway. So I rather that they find out on my terms than on theirs." Shadow explained.
The others nodded. "Then we should get the people of the city to the park for the announcement as soon as possible." Lloyd stood up, confidentially.
Time Skip
Two days later, the ninjas were all backstage while the citizens waited for what the ninjas had to say. Gayle Gossip was there too, with her cameraman.
Shadow was wearing his normal black jacket with ripped sleeves and a hood, black fingerless gloves, black ripped pants, and black sneakers. Under his jacket, he had a dark red tank top with the text "Everyone has a dark side" written in black on the front. Around his neck hung his silver necklace. And the hood on his jacket was pulled up for now.
He was extremely nervous about how Ninjago would take the news about him.
Kai, who was dressed in his ninja gi just like the others were, walked up to his brother and placed a hand on his shoulder. "It'll go fine, bro. Just remember to be yourself and I know they'll love you." Kai smirked, "After all, you got my good looks."
Shadow chuckled, "But I pull it off better than you do."
"Hey! Just because you're taller than me doesn't mean you have better looks." Kai nudged Shadow's left shoulder playfully. The black-haired teen hissed in pain which made his brother turn worried, "What is it?"
"The burn..." Shadow sighed.
"Oh...I forgot about that. It's a shame it'll be permanent."
"At least it's faded enough to be unreadable."
"Yeah..."
Lloyd walked up to the twins, "Kai, it's time."
The red ninja nodded and started to walk away from Shadow, but he soon stopped and turned to his brother one more time and gave him a thumbs up, "You got this bro."
Kai then walked over to the others.
The ninjas all walked out on the stage, and Lloyd walked forward.
The crowd was going wild and Gayle was trying to get her questions heard. Lloyd tried to get them all to quiet down but they didn't listen.
It didn't take long before Kai had enough and shouted, "QUIET AND LET HIM SPEAK!"
