Acacia's POV

I didn't stay long with the Marauders because I had to go and join my group of friends who I was writing with during the break. They wrapped me in a warm group hug and I got the hardest smack in the head  from Clarabell, the mom friend.

"I am so hexing Potter for dragging you to his house." Clara groaned on her seat and I felt a nudge from Adaline, "So did you have a good time?" She's always been the heart of our little group.

Adaline was the heart, always knowing what to say and do to keep down tensions and resolve arguments. Clarabell was the fist, more than ready to put us to our places and is not afraid to use violence to make us comply. I'd say Thalia is the mind for she's not afraid of voicing her opinions and no matter how wrong they are sometimes, she uses logic and not just speaks before she can think.

Me? I can be the fucking toenail. I'm useless so I might as well be that. "I did, the Potters are kind and James is...James." I didn't miss the smirk on Clara after getting over her anger. She better not be thinking what I think she's thinking, wow, that's alot of think.

"Now who is this?" Thalia asked, lifting my Cat and I turned to Clarabell who held a proud grin. "What'd you name the cutie?" She asked and reached for the creature who jumped on her lap instead.

"Jewel. I wanted to name her after a stone but I couldn't pick." She nodded and started talking to my cat which Thalia cringed at, her face expressing disapproval while watching her brunette friend converse with a cat who meowed back.

"Now tell us everynight that happened, don't leave out a single detail." I complied but let out a big chunk, that would be the night I asked James why and that Christmas when he ran after me and the many more awkward moments I found him staring at me.

I didn't think too much on it, probably just studying me. I would too, I've displayed inconsistency in my character lately.

An hour before the train reached it's destination I changed into my school uniform and ended up being cornered into a wall by the younger Black.

"What do you want?" I'm friends with his brothers and didn't wanna be quick to trust him tho. Regulus Black was a known death eater in my time, but right now he's just a boy and I've been here 2 freaking months and I've got myself a fairly long list of people to save.

"I heard that you stayed at the Potters," Just from him speaking I can spot so much difference from Sirius. He stood with poise and talked in a monotone voice, he seems much more collected while Sirius would probably jump off the Astronomy tower if dared to do so.

"You heard right, what about it?" If he's gonna be just like Malfoy warning me to stay away from Gryffindors to not ruin our house's reputation I am cursing him even if we haven't reached our stop. I swear to Salazar.

He must've seen the way I clutched my wand when he stepped back a little, I'm older so maybe he figured I'd know more curses to throw. "My brother left home and my best guess is that he stayed at the Potters." I saw sadness flash in his grey eyes.

Exactly like Sirius', I gave him a small smile. I understand now, Sirius left him and if a boy as strong-willed as Sirius ran away then that must mean Regulus is having it worse. "Why ask me this? Why not talk to your brother?" I must've hit a spot when his hands shook.

All I can see before me is a boy too young to be broken, "Whatever." He's not really good at pretending to not care, before he could walk away from me I pulled his robe and caged him in my arms.

He was taller than me but that didn't stop me from embracing him, "Your brother loves you and I know you love him too. You might feel abandoned now but all you can do is talk to him," I can feel him stiffen under my touch, "Don't let this part you two forever." I stayed like that for a good minute and I was glad when he didn't push me off.

I let him go and I watched him walk away without another word, I smiled contently and walked back to my compartment without the knowledge that someone saw me in that position that can be easily misinterpreted.

Dinner in the great hall was amazing, I fooled around with my friends and stuffed my face with amazing food. I can't help but miss Euphemia's cooking though, Maybe I should write them a letter like they asked me to?

"So I said no and ran away." Adaline finished telling us the story of how a Muggle came up to her on the mall and asked for her name and Clarabell high-fived her. Thalia only nodded with a smirk, "Poor guy." I mumbled and Thalia raised a brow at me.

"Did you not hear the part where he looked at Addy like she was meat?", My purple-haired friend asked and I sheepishly smiled. Feeling guilty of how far my mind was at the moment, "...no?" She rolled her eyes st me and threw a piece of grape at me.

"Oh forget you, always daydreaming." Clarabell waved me off and Adaline laughed before continuing the stories of her interesting summer. I didn't bother defending myself because they'd never listen and instead searched.

My eyes searched the table for a grey-eyed boy and I meet them successfully, I smiled at him but he only looked away and...did I scare him that much with the hug for his cheeks to redden?

I feel kind of bad now, even his neck is red. I looked away with a pout and picked on my dessert for the rest of the evening while blocking out the noises of my fellow students and friends laughing.
