Acacia's POV

Sirius is a good person and I can't claim to be good judge of character but in the short amount of time that I was with him, he's grown on me and it's safe to say that we're friends.

Right now I'm sat on a compartment looking out the window while Sirius convince me to cover up for him, he ran inside my compartment panting and he quickly occupied the seat beside me. "What do I say?" I lamely asked because I've never been good at lying.

For others, I can very much handle myself. "Just say we've been making out since we got on the train." He smirked at me and I groaned. Why did I even bother?

If only I didn't consider this idiot a friend. I punched his shoulder and he laughed, making himself comfortable by laying his head on my lap. His legs folded to fit in the small seat of the compartment and I try not to laugh when I saw a bunch of students covered in brown slime run past out compartment.

"What did you do?" I tried to sound stern and keep my face stoic but he didn't buy it and he can see right through me with that goofy grin plastered on his face.

"Welcomed first-years." He replied unbothered of the possible trauma he inflicted on poor eleven year-olds. I clicked my tongue in disappointment with a shaking of my head and I looked up when the door opened to reveal James.

"There you are—oh." He was looking at me and he paused when his gaze trailed down to see Sirius' head on my lap and Remus popped up from behind him.

"Lupin." I addressed the scarred boy and he smiled back, frowning a bit to see Sirius on my lap just like James and I realised just what we look like so my hand automatically smacked Sirius in the shoulder.

"Get up you're numbing my legs." I managed to muster a good excuse and he snorted, getting up to instead rest his head on my shoulder and the two boys took their seat across us. James had his eyes narrowed behind his round glasses and he raised a brow at me, what does he want?

I coughed and looked away, still feeling the weight of his heavy stare. He seemed fine when we boarded the train so what's wrong with him?

"We'll I'm going to go buy from the trolley." Remus announced and Sirius was quick to get up too, his head hitting my cheek and I yelped from the pain. Merlin, this boy doesn't know the meaning of being careful.

"Is it bruising?" I asked Sirius when he smiled apologetically at me, he inched his face closer to mine to get a good look before shaking his head no and I sighed in relief. "I'd better get a chocolate frog for that." I joked and the grey-eyed boy nodded, walking out the compartment with Remus who I waved at and he smiled back.

Remus is a rather shy boy, I figured he found it hard to make friends when he's got an important secret. I wonder how he's holding up every month?

Should I add him to my list and try and help? My train of thoughts came to a halt when James spoke, "So," I turned away from the door to try and meet his eyes.

I've never been good at eye-contacts growing up but I seem to be doing it alot with James lately. I just don't understand how it works, which eye do I look at? Left or right? "You're pretty close with Sirius." I snorted.

"If you're afraid that I'm gonna steal your bestfriend, don't be. He and I are nothing like James and Sirius the Gryffindor power duo." I threw my arms around chuckling to myself but I was taken back to see the corners of his lips not even twitching.

I frowned and crossed my arms, "Did Lily shut you down again? You seem to be in a foul mood." He looked flustered at my confrontation and before he could answer, Lily opened the door and his face is red in anger.

"You insufferable toe-rag!" She yelled at James and I awkwardly sat there unnoticed while she threw insults at James who looked confused more than anything, "Those poor first-years are crying!" That made me perk up and her wrinkled forehead smoothened at the sight of me and a smile painted on her features.

"It's not the boys, I've been with them since I stepped foot on the train." My voice was small due to shock from how furious she looked just now. She nodded understandingly and I almost forgot that she was a Prefect. "I get it though, they tend to always get in trouble."

She left not long after, excusing herself to go back and calm down the students but not before throwing a glare at James who raised both his hands up. When the door  closed after her I turned back to James who watched her figure disappear from the window.

"Thanks for that." He broke the comfortable silence and I curtly nodded as a response. I placed my hands on my thighs and flashed him a small smile, "So I have a few things in mind for our deal, I had fun so that means I help you with Lily." He fully turned to me, interested and urged me to go on with a raised brow.

"First is to not ask her out on a date everyday, don't bother her during meals and try ignoring her in classes and in the halls." His nose scrunched up and I rolled my eyes at that, he better make this easy for me. "If my assumptions are correct, she'll start to miss your presence. She got used to you being everywhere." I explained and the widest grin broke into his face.

I don't know why but seeing that smile of his made my heart skip a beat and if I'm not mistaken this is what happens when one is...

Do I have a diseased heart?

I really am dying. Time travel really is taking it's toll. I better move quickly on saving everyone then, I've got little time left.
