To say that I was nervous is an understatement of the year. "Calm down, love." James affectionately pressed a kiss to my temple, an arm around my waist as we stand on the entrance of the station. "You've met mum and dad already."
I let out a groan. "That was before I was snogging their son," Now it will be nothing but awkward, before, we were friends and his parents needn't worry with me fraternizing with their heir.
"You say that as if you don't enjoy it," He whispered teasingly to my ear, his hot breath fanning my ear and I elbowed him.
"Behave," I hissed but he only grinned like an idiot. I've got a feeling he won't do as told.
"No promises, love," He muttered and waved when we spotted his parents making their way towards us. I took note of their eyes darted on James' arm wrapped around me. I felt like running away.
"James, honey!" Euphemia went for a hug and James refused to let me go so I stood there awkwardly, his arm wrapped around me while he hug his mother and father back with one arm.
Euphemia turned to me and her smile grew wider, "Acacia, dear," She called out affectionately and I forcefully pried James' hand off me and hugged Mia tightly. "I've missed you both, mostly Acacia because she only wrote once."
I smiled sheepishly and rubbed my arm uncomfortably. "I'm sorry, alot has happened." The woman nodded in understanding and James being his stubborn self snaked his arm around my waist again.
Euphemia eyed it with a knowing look. "I can see that," She raised a brow as a silent question and I avoided her eyes. James cleared his throat and took the role of explaining his actions to his parents.
"Mum, Dad, I got the girl," James announced and I felt the heat creep up to my face, and felt like exploding. Did he really have to say it like that?
"That's my boy!" Fleamont chimed and I blushed even harder, but met Euphemia's eyes and she smiled kindly at me.
"You know, your father and I had a bet," Euphemia muttered playfully, at James. "He said that you'll be wooing her anytime soon, and I bet that Acacia will give you a hard time. I knew it would take time for her to give in to you, I see so much of myself in her."
"But no one can resist a Potter's charm," Fleamont recited and high-fived his son.
After that awkward conversation at the station, we apparated home and as soon as I step foot in the house, Jewel greeted me with a loud purr. "Jewel, baby!" I exclaimed and bent down to pick her up, she rubbed her face lovingly against my chest.
"Thank you for letting us stay with us, she's been a lovely company." Mia spoke up from behind me, I turned around and grinned.
