16 | Hero Killer

"Ughhh these 3 days have been killing me...." (y/n) complains as she slumps and bangs her head on the table. "ow..."

"... At least you can produce a more and stronger flame for longer," Todoroki replies, placing his right hand gently onto the newly made bruise on her forehead.

"Thanks, And that's true..." She sighs, sipping her drink.

Every time (y/n) sees Todoroki use his right side she is reminded of her water quirk making her feel mixed emotions about it. The white-haired girl must be a pretty decent actor when it counts because even Todoroki hasn't noticed her discomfort.

"Shoto, Aizawa. Get ready were going on patrol. I'll show you a true hero in action," Endeavour announces the moment he walks into the cafeteria.

(y/n) starts to choke on her (fav drink) at the words "true hero". After her mini coughing fit she starts to laugh and Todoroki has a small smile on his face two.

"You two..." Endeavor glares. "Just hurry up."

"Anyway patrol! Finally some real action!" (y/n) cheers, regaining her energy.

"I thought this was gonna be fun... But there's like nothing going on," (y/n) moans as the three walk down the street.

"Isn't that a good thing?" Todoroki questions but is disappointed himself.

(y/n) feels a tug on her costume and looks down to see a small girl gazing up at her.

"You're (y/n) right?!" The girl's eyes glow.

"Yep~" (y/n) smiles at her noticing that she also has a small burn scar on her cheek.

"You were super cool at the festival People were mean to me because of this..." She says stroking her burn. "But now they think I'm cool! So I'm gonna be a hero like you when I'm older!"

"Awww I'm glad to hear that," (y/n) beams crouching down to pat her head. "I'll be waiting for you then!"

"Okay! I gotta go now, mum is waiting!" She chirps, indicating to a lady nearby.

"Okay, bye bye~" (y/n) waves as the little girl runs off.

"Omigod she was sooo cute~ did you see her Shoto?! Wow, I didn't think I would ever be popular..." (y/n) blabs on making Todoroki sweatdrop.

"Good for you (y/n)" He nods.

BOOM BOOM

"Woah! What was that?" (y/n) exclaims as more loud sounds and crashes are heard around the city.

Then a building bursts open not too far away and they see a figure emerge.

"Nomu...?" (y/n) shudders as her face starts to go pale.

"There's more than one..." Todoroki gulps as they both stare wide-eyed at the sight.

Endeavor reacts first, rushing to the scene in just seconds and burning the Nomu as the other two arrive soon after.

"Oh! You're!! Seriously?!"
"Why are you here...?"
A woman and a man gasp.

"Because I am a hero" Endeavour declares and (y/n) would have laughed if she wasn't constantly on alert for the creatures like the ones who crushed her at USJ.

"You two need to evacuate," Endeavour demands.

"But..." (y/n) nervously protests, still wanting to help out. There seems to be more around the city! Me and Shoto would be a major help! Shoto would, not me... Damn it!
