She stood outside the skyscraper, looking up. It looked like something from a horror movie. The clouds above the building were as dark as the night sky alone. All it needed was some lightening and thunder. It was unusually dark for the "Angels" to be fighting in. She understood why Seth liked this place. She took pleasure in how Seth had went to great extents to find her but she felt a little guilty for having hurt Tyson. And if anything had happened to Ava she wouldn't be able to live again. She already felt like she was gonna disappear. She knew her powers were draining and they couldn't wait any longer to find out why she isn't alive but she needed to see Seth. She was willing to go back into the dark realm of death if it meant she would see him again. She just wished it wasn't an option.

Emma stood on the steps of the skyscraper and took a deep breath and pushed the door open. It was unusually heavy for a door but she could manage. She stepped in and if she thought the outside was dark than the inside was demonic. She looked around. No lights were on and she could barely see the outline of a counter that led into a back room. She stepped into the dark. As she walked things got clearer, a small coffee table, a couch. She was guessing it was a lounge. She saw a tiny green light and slowly bent down and pulled out a knife from her boot. It felt familiar in her hand and she gripped it tighter. She slowly crept towards the light, not making a single noise. She noticed the light didn't move and relaxed when it was just an elevator button.

She pressed the button and a red light glowed and a noise from above like something falling. She stepped back and the door opened. She reluctantly stepped inside. There was a handle that led all the way around the perimeter and on the right side of the door there were a lot of buttons. Four rows and almost all the way to the floor and almost all the way to the top. She read the numbers. 1, 2, 3, 4. She skipped and looked at the top there was three at the top and each said PHS. Penthouses. She pressed the third one and the door closed and she almost fell backwards when it started moving so she gripped the handle so hard her knuckles were white as bone.

She had never been in an elevator before but she related this experience to like traveling in a portal. The feel of be lifted but not being able to stop it. She couldn't even imagine what it felt like going down.

It suddenly jerked to a stop and the door opened to a dark hallway with doors on each side. There were dim lights beside the doors as she passed them. The hallway led into a open room with a huge window that faced the city. She looked over the glowing lights and started when she noticed where this penthouse really was.

She remembered the night Charlie had accused her of cursing him and how she had ran to an old abandoned building, wanting to stop it all. Stop the pain and the despair. She remembered meeting Seth there and she begged him-begged him to kill her but he refused and he taught her. And he abandoned her.

She slammed her fist into the window and watched as the glass spiderwebbed out. Her back tingled and she felt the slight pressure on her neck that told her somebody was watching her. She spun around and all she could see was green. Dark green like the grass in a beautiful meadow. Green like the trees that covered the mountains. Green like eyes so familiar to her. She was pulled into a hug and she felt the familiar tighten of her muscles when she wrapped her arms around him.

Seth.

He was here and he was holding her. She should have been happy. She had come all this way to find him but all she could think of was when Charlie came to her house. When the men in black and white came to her doorstep and she fought. She fought for her life but she couldn't survive, still all she thought was, He promised. He promised.

Her hand shot up without her having to tell it to and whiped across his cheek. He stumbled back and his hand was on his cheek and he looked at her with eyes filled with hurt and confusion. Her hands were clenched into fisted as she yelled, "You left me! You let me die and you promised. You lied!"
