Everyone had to get their hours flipped around, backwards. He knew he didn't need sleep but it still felt different being awake all night and then sleeping all day. He wasn't an owl and he still got tired. Seth sat on the couch and longed for a television. Maybe, with a television he wouldn't be so bored-out-of-his-mind. Everyone was still walking around the house, talking and stopping to eat. Even Emma was mingling with with everyone. He was over it.
"Okay, guys," Seth yelled, pushing himself off of the couch. Emma bounded into the room first, her face lit up like a spotlight. Seth eyed her suspiciously and then watched the others slowly walk in. Everyone came in except Tyson and Ava. Seth wondered where they were.
"What do you need?" Emma said and kissed him lightly on the cheek. Yep, something was definitely wrong. Seth opened his mouth to speak but Ava's mother interrupted him.
"Where's Ava?" she asked and looked around the room as if she was hiding in a corner or something. Seth looked around also. Nope, not hiding in a corner.
"I have no idea," Magnolia said, "Did you check her room?" everyone looked at her and she just shrugged her shoulders.
"No, but I will," Kate started to walk away. Seth called them here for a reason. He needed to talk to them all, together. Now.
"No," he said, a little o sharply, "I mean... we need to talk." he cleared his throat as Ava's mom turned back around and made herself comfortable on the couch, Magnolia followed.
Emma looked at him with worry and then grabbed his bicep and pulled him to the other couch. Seth didn't fight it, he just settled in and leaned back on the couch, pushing his brown hair out of his eyes frustratingly. He needed a haircut.
"What do we need to talk about that is so important?" Magnolia said and leaned back, laying her hand on her forehead. She was obviously frustrated. Seth didn't care, he just took a deep breath and started talking.
"We have to get our hours switched around and also, we need to get back to the penthouses. My clan could be going crazy and be murdering the cities population one-by-one right now," he said and Emma looked at him like he had committed a crime. Seth rolled his eyes and looked back at Magnolia and Kate.
"I agree about the hours thing. We have to switch them otherwise we won't be able to find the warlocks and some portals can't be opened at night so, yeah, I agree with that," Kate said, "And when you say we do you mean..."
"I mean Emma, Tyson, Ava, and myself," Seth said, formally. Of course he had to have Emma with him. He also had to make sure that Ava would be under the same roof as him so she doesn't flee and if Ava was coming, so was Tyson. Seth would just have to bring them all.
"I thought you might say that," Magnolia said, looking into the distance like she was trying to solve a puzzle. About what? "I agree with the Night Child. As long as Ava is here, she is in danger. My enemies that you met yesterday will be back and as long as she is here, they might be able to figure out what she is. I just hope they haven't deciphered what Ava said yesterday," she said, "She didn't have to say she was the first lycanthrope-witch hybrid. That only further complicates and risks things." Seth smiled and let her ramble on, mostly to herself.
He was surprised that Magnolia was the one to agree him but she was a very influential person and if she was on his side he believed that the others would be on his side also. Seth smiled and stood up.
"We'd better go find the two love birds," Seth smiled, "Emma, you better go get ready. If you brought anything just pack it into my car." he walked out of the room. He had heard Ava and Tyson talking once they had left the patio so he had an idea of where they might be. But it wasn't very narrowed down.
