Emma and Seth were walking hand in hand down the road, not far from the lycanthropes house that they just left. After the ride through the portal - Emma having let go of Seth somewhere inside, threw up on the side of the road. She hated the feeling so after they had retrieved the bowl and left the house she declined Seth's offer at making a new portal and insisted on walking. They weren't far down the road and they were silent, she hadn't talked to Seth since right after the portal trip and he asked if she was okay, she hadn't needed to either. She was just fine with walking, silently, down the road with him, the warmth of his hand in hers. But clearly he wasn't. "So, I was wondering... Where are we going?" he asked, casually.

"We are going to meet Ava. Tyson doesn't have that much time left and neither do I. We need your help." He nodded and opened his mouth to say something and then seemed to think better of it. "I don't think you'll lose your position." Emma said suddenly. He looked at her, surprised.

"Why not?"

"Well, I think that you are a good leader or you wouldn't of stayed in this position for so long. I also think that if you explained to them the reason for giving up one of the Night Children, they would understand. They might even volunteer" Seth scrunched his eyebrows together and stared at his feet.

"I will take your advice. I trust you." he looked up at her and smiled, she couldn't help it, she smiled back. They walked farther down the road until a piercing noise cut through the air and they both jumped apart reaching for their weapons. Nothing happened, just an endless loop of the same noise. Seth smiled and said, "Darling, that's your cell phone." Emma started then gave him a look and grabbed her phone out of her pocket. It read, Ava. She pressed the green button and put the phone to her ear.

"What do you want?" she said into the phone and turned away from Seth.

"I need your help. My mom kicked me out. I'll tell you the rest when I see you but me and Tyson need somewhere to stay." her voice sounded muffled like she was sick and had a stuffy nose. Emma turned towards Seth and he nodded.

"I have a place for you. Meet me at the Starbucks place uptown okay?"

"Okay. Yeah, we'll be there."

"Okay." Emma pulled the phone away from her ear and put it back in her pocket after hanging up. "I almost forgot you could hear really good." She said walking towards Seth.

"Is that a bad thing?" he looked at her mischievously.

"At least you knew what I was talking about." he shook his head jokingly and grabbed her hand and started walking up the road again and this time it stayed silent.

This night is Tyson's third night of the transformation, Emma knew. She had been counting days because her time was pretty close to Tyson's time. Seth sat beside her outside of Starbucks on the benches. His hair was ruffled from the wind and his eyes glimmered as he drank a Pumpkin Spice Latte and his tan skin turned gold from the midday sun. She knew Seth had spells done to him that made it so he could actually go in the sun but it was still weird to see him outside in the sun rays. Emma sat across from him drinking her own Caramel Frappuccino and watching Seth's hand muscles move as he scratched the side of the cup. Something about the movement satisfied Emma so she stared on. "You have nice hands." She said suddenly, surprising herself. He looked up at her and laughed. "What?" she asked, scrunching her face.

"My hands are nice? Your delusional." Emma felt slightly offended but she wouldn't let him get the satisfaction.

"No. I'm not. Your hands are nice. Strong and big and tan and-"
