12: The Party

Days went by smoothly and it was already September 26; the event that our music teacher organized. We were given the chance to wear casual clothes and the event will be until 19:30.

It was some sort of acquaintance party where we got to meet some students while partying. I wore a vintage oversized shirt and loose denim paired up with white snickers. I styled my hair a bit, too. I kept my phone and wallet in my pocket.

I couldn't see Selin with this big crowd jumping and dancing. I don't know why, but I really wanted to keep an eye on her. As I took a step forward, my phone vibrated. I fished it out and saw that I had received a message. Cess sent a photo of her surroundings. It was the same as the atmosphere in here.

TheLittlePrincess_: Hi Alex!

LittleFishy_304: Woah, Cess..
LittleFishy_304: We're in the same place right now!!

TheLittlePrincess_: Really?!
TheLittlePrincess_: Maybe we should meet now HAHA

LittleFishy_304: Where are you?

TheLittlePrincess_: I'm by the food table!!
TheLittlePrincess_: There's this chocolate fountain and some marshmallows and strawberries and bananas
TheLittlePrincess_: I don't care about the party
TheLittlePrincess_: ALL I CARE ABOUT IS FOOD!!

TheLittlePrincess_: Of course! ^-^
TheLittlePrincess_: Oh btw I've been wanting to tell you this

I widened my eyes as I read her messages. This just gives me more reason to find out who Cess is. I fastened my pace towards the food table, hoping to see someone there on her phone while typing. But, I didn't see anybody on the food table. I sighed and walked towards the food table. Then, I looked at the surroundings at this point of view where I was near the chocolate fountain she was saying. She really is here. But where is she now?

I clicked my tongue in frustration and looked again at the picture that Cess had sent. I furrowed my eyebrows and tried to scan the crowd. I leaned on the table and sighed yet again. Where are you, Cess?

"Yo, what are you doing here all alone? Let's have some fun!" Qiba shouted over the blasting music and dragged me in the middle to party with the others. I shrugged the thought of Cess being here for a while and danced to the beat with Qiba and the others. We did so many weird dance moves.

We were like Egyptians with robot hands and we did some popping and locking. In the middle of getting crazy, I caught sight of Selin lightly swaying with the upbeat music while Xiaying and her other friends were partying as if they were experts in doing it. I walked forward, trying to reach Selin through this crowd. So much pushing and bumping caused me to lose sight of her again.

A hand suddenly took hold of my wrist, which made me look back. It was Xiaying. "Come with me!" She shouted through the loud music.

She dragged me to our classroom. She switched on the lights and ordered me to sit on one of the desks. I did and she stood in front of me. "What's with the detective style?" I asked.

She slammed her hands on the desk which made me lean back in surprise. "Do you like Shiwen?"

"What?! No!"
