Taehyung was at a loss for words, silently watching the girl's retreating figure get smaller and smaller in the distance as she escaped into the night. He felt a surge of emotions course through his body – confusion, shock, anger, sadness, betrayal.

He didn't know why he was so attached to the female, but figured it was because after all his effort and worry spent on the brunette's wellbeing, he didn't even get a thank you, only recieving a fleeting "I'm sorry" as she ran away from his company.

"Taehyung," he heard Yoongi's deep voice call out to him, breaking him from his muddled thoughts.

The male didn't respond to his name, not even turning to look him in the eye.

"I knew she couldn't be trusted," he heard the older mutter quietly under his breath, making him turn around.

"What do you mean you knew?" he breathlessly asked with furrowed brows, feeling a sudden anger take over him.

"Taehyung, you literally met her as she was bleeding out against a fucking wall wearing a mask and dressed in all black, did that not seem strange to you in any way?" Yoongi raised his voice, offended at the other's glare for speaking the truth.

"Are you saying you wouldn't have helped her if you saw her? Would've left her to die in a puddle of her own blood?"

Taehyung was practically yelling at Yoongi now, spurred on by his unstable emotions to take it out on the other.

"It wasn't that bad, and you know it. She would've been fine. Don't you think it's even a little suspicious that she never thought to call the police?"

"I- fuck, the police. I completely forgot."

Taehyung hastily pulled out his phone, forgotten in his pocket amidst his panic. However, before he could open the phone's keypad, he was stopped by a hand on his wrist.

"Don't. It's not worth it," Yoongi advised him, sternly staring him straight in the eye.

"Do I need to reiterate that the girl got stabbed? And you want me to just let this go and pretend it never happened when you just said yourself that the police were never called?" the blonde hissed at his bandmate, eyes locked on the other's defiantly.

"And do I need to reiterate that she can't be trusted? Jesus, she even ran off before giving any sort of introduction to you."

"I- everyone has their reasons. We don't need to characterize as this... villain without knowing her intentions."

Despite still defending a stranger who had fled from his side, Taehyung began to waver, finally hearing the sense in the latter's words.

"Taehyung," Yoongi sighed, lowering his voice and gently placing a hand on the blonde's shoulder, "I hate to say this, but you keep skirting around it. Stop defending her when she doesn't care about you. You know it, I can see it in your eyes."

Taehyung backed away from the older, still not fully committing to the idea that he just wasted his care and worry over someone who wouldn't even stay long enough to become acquainted at the very least.

But Yoongi was right and he did know it.

"Sorry hyung, I just need some space," he muttered softly under his breath and escaped through the same doors the girl had fled through moments earlier.
