The interlocked pair quickly but somewhat reluctantly moved from each other to look at a young boy.
"Morning, I'm Valerie", the young woman moved forward and extended her hand, "nice to meet you". The young boy joined hands with Valerie, "I'm Eric – Serena's brother. It's nice to meet you". To Valerie, he seemed like a nice young man and he looked like his sister. Eric coughed, "not to seem rude but we were heading out", he spoke looking at Chuck," right Chuck?". Chuck's eyes never once left his view – and that view being Valerie. He never once faltered. "Chuck?", Eric nudged him bringing him to the present. Valerie looked at Chuck, "you can join me if you'd like. Eric can find his way to school", Chuck spoke looking between Eric and Val, "my limo has champagne if you're interested". Valerie looked at Eric who wore a slightly shocked expression. Noticing that Valerie patted Chuck's arm, "I'm actually here for Serena", Valerie stated looking as Eric retreated to the elevator. Chuck moved closer to her, ran his hand up and down her arm leaving a trail of goosebumps, "we'll save our limo time for later", he purred in her ear. Just as quickly as he spoke, he placed a kiss on her cheek and left her side, leaving her standing trying to catch her breath. "Val?". She looked at the doorway to see Serena looking in confusion at to what just happened. "Don't ask", Valerie told her while going in for a hug. Serena chuckling, "I'm afraid to ask". Leading her inside, Serena introduced Val to her mother and sat down to have a quick breakfast before school. But her thoughts always seemed to come back to the interaction between Chuck and herself.

First days of school to Valerie rarely happened before today. She would always try to miss the first days or first week but today it was inevitable. After getting everything in order, she walked to her first class and to her luck the professor was teaching. All eyes sudden went to her, whispers suddenly started humming throughout the room. "Hello Ms. Blanc, I'm Valerie. I'm new here and it's my first day", Valerie explained moving closer to the professor showing her the class schedule. Ms. Blanc smiled, "Good morning, welcome to A.P History. If you want, you can have any empty seat". Returning the smile, she walked to the middle of the room and sat down next to a girl who turned and smiled. "Hi, I'm Allison", she welcomed her. Valerie smiled, "I'm Valerie". Looking around, she noticed everyone looking at her still, "don't worry I guess they are all shocked because a Carrington has all of them in her presence", Allison chuckled.

Valerie stifled a laugh. "Let's continue girls", Ms. Blanc stated as the class went on.
It was around eleven when the students who had free period roamed the school. Valerie went to see if she could spot Serena or Blair. As she walked to a small patio part of the school she noticed Serena. Just as she was about to go talk to her a hand grabbed her arm and pulled her to them. "Not now sweetie", a voice purred behind her. She then noticed Serena who met Dan halfway. Turning to her left, she saw Chuck. "Are you spying on Serena now?", she questioned. He smirked, moving her closer to a group of lockers behind her, "maybe I was looking for you", he stated moving a piece of hair behind her ear. Looking around, she noticed the stares everyone was giving them. Slightly pushing him aside, she walked to the patio and watched Serena and Dan trying to somewhat be hidden.
"You know what? What are you doing for lunch today?", Chuck and Valerie looked on as she asked Dan, "friends – friends eat lunch together right?". "Oh no", Valerie lowly spoke as Chuck crossed his arms, waiting for Dan's answer. "They—you're right. They do. Uh, the thing is, I –" Dan stuttered. Suddenly, a new voice joined, "Dan. Hey". "Amanda, this is Serena", Dan introduced her to S, "Amanda's new, so I sort of already asked her if she, uh –". "Right", Serena spoke, "great -well-", she chuckled nervously, "um... welcome. I hope you have- I'll see you... later".
Turning around, Chuck spoke as Serena edged closer to the pair, "who would have thought Humphrey would be the one to move on first?". Serena simply sighed. "they look very sweet together", Valerie lightly smacked him in response, "did I overhear something about a lunch?". "I'll see you later Val", Serena spoke as she left them. He then turned to Val who was situated to his left, "you know who would look sweet together too?". Valerie smirked and moved in closer, mingling their spaces together, "Tom Hiddleston and Valerie has a nice ring to it right?".
Laughing to herself, she walked off leaving him there in shock.
