"i don't care about you. nobody does," you stare at brian, your eyes widening when the words came out of his mouth.

"i guess that was always true, huh?" you mumbled under your breath, tears slowly sliding down your cheeks. turning sharply, you opened the door and left, your heart aching. brian stood at the doorway, regretting every single word of that conversation.

~

you and brian sit in a cafe, sipping bubble tea while discussing school. the light layer of snow covering the road outside made you smile, wishing for a break from high school. brian watched your face light up as you watched the snow fall.

"why are you staring at me like that?" you laughed softly.

"your face is just too adorable to not stare at," he replied, the flirty person that he was, and winked at you. you blushed slightly and punched him in the arm.

"ouch! why'd you hit so hard?" brian said, rubbing his arm in fake pain. laughing, you apologized, drinking the rest of your bubble tea.

~

you sobbed, the small memories between you and brian making your heart pained.

~

"brian,~" you called out sweetly, hiding a box of chocolates behind your back. brian popped his head out of the doorway, smiling brightly.

"hi! uwu," brian said, hugging you tightly. you looked at him, confused.

"h-how did you say uwu out loud? but anyway, are you busy tonight?" you asked him, the box of chocolates you held behind your back still going unnoticed.

"yeah, i'm free tonight," brian said cooly. you rolled your eyes at his change in attitude.

"meet me at that new restaurant, 'filliano' or something. anyway, i have something for you," you said, pulling out the box of chocolates.

"th-thanks," brian smiled, his eyes crinkling a bit. you made a peace sign, walking out of the door and winking at him. blushing, he waved shyly.

~
brian frowned, dried tears staining his face. he fiddled with the small teddy bear you had given to him. i'm an idiot. sweeping his disheveled hair away from his face, he sighed.

we were born to say goodbye.
