you groaned, the loud sound of an alarm coming from the neighboring apartment woke you.

"it's literally three in the morning..." you sighed, covering her ears with her pillow. as soon as the ringing stopped, you breathed a sigh of relief, going back to sleep.

younghyun woke up as soon as the alarm rang, immediately turning on his television and going onto netflix. he turned the alarm off and tossed his phone to the side, eager to watch the new episode of his favorite show, abyss.

younghyun had his alarm repeat everyday, eventually making your patience snap. after a week of barely getting enough sleep, you stomped over to your neighbor's apartment, a sour expression plastered on your face.

"excuse me, sir—" you knocked on the door. it was your first time since you had moved in about a month ago, and the state he was in startled you. his eyes were red and puffy, eyebags deeply engraved under his empty eyes. he was wrapped in fluffy blankets, making it tempting to pet them.

"a-are you okay?" you asked. you hadn't seen anyone look so sleep deprived and sad since college.

"kind of," he replied in a stuffy and hoarse voice. you were almost convinced that he was actually in college and had been working on assignments for the whole week.

"okay, uhm, i also wanted to ask if you could maybe turn off that alarm you have on? it rings at three in the morning everyday and it's kind of getting tiring." you straightforwardly told him. he apologized, a sheepish smile on his face.

"sorry, it's just my favorite show airs at three in the morning and i want to watch it as soon as possible..." he trailed off, a genuine look of guiltiness on his face.

"don't worry about it. i get that. please just watch the episode when you wake up, okay?" you grinned at him.

"okay," he agreed, flashing a grin at you as you left to go back to your apartment.
