"there he goes again, after another girl, huh?" whispers and mutters spread through the hallways. rumors always spread like wildfire. always.

"i really shouldn't have to say this, but, you need to stop chasing after him." you sat on the rooftop, talking with your best friend. you sighed, nodding.

"i know. i know i shouldn't be doing this, but i'm still so caught up on him," you mumbled, kicking your legs over the edge of the rooftop. after that, you didn't say anything else and just looked at the wispy clouds until lunch was over.

"dowoon!" girls chased after dowoon despite his infamousness as a player. everyone talked about how cold he was and how threatening his "fanbase" was. you sighed as you watched the girls chase after him while he wandered the halls, walking slowly with his earbuds in.

"stop staring. people will associate me with you." dowoon looked at you, startling you.

"s-sorry," you mumbled a quick apology, your cheeks flushing from embarrassment. he chuckled, walking away. the girls following him gave you a quick glare before going after him.

"did he just chuckle at me?" you shook your head, heading to your algebra class. as you sat through a boring lecture, you doodled on your worksheet that you were supposed to complete. you felt a sharp sting in your arm and looked back to see your friend mouthing, "do your work,". you sighed, trying your hardest to make sense of the jumbled equations.

the day passed in a flash. it was mostly you doodling during class, but you tried to somewhat pay attention to the classes, especially english.

"dude." your friend started to lecture you on dowoon again, but you tuned out her voice.

"are you even listening?" she huffed, walking silently beside you.

"he chuckled at me earlier."

"you're kidding. i swear if you don't stop chasing after him, you'll get hurt." yeah. but you didn't care at all. that is, until it did hurt.

a few weeks after that, it seemed that dowoon was going out with someone. and it broke your heart. you cried for hours, even though you had no affiliation with him.

"hey— woah, are you good?" you opened the door with puffy eyes, cocooned in a fluffy blanket. you shook your head, collapsing back onto the couch. your best friend came in, sighing.

"i'm all alone now."
