Will's POV
As soon as I am in the room Aisha shuts the door. Why do I have a feeling this is going to be a serious talk..? Swallowing I peer at her and see her looking back at me.
"Well then.." I say awkwardly. I hate situations like this. Seems she does too since she is just staring at the stick in her hand.
*This is stupid* I think and I see Aisha's head snap up to look at me. She opens her mouth to say something, closes it, grins sarcastically then answers my question.
"It kinda is huh."
"Uh huh." I reply back before I realise something. She did it again! She answered a question on that I was thinking.
"How did you do that?" I ask shakily. Aisha smiles at me gently and shakes her head slightly.
"I'll explain I promise. But first.. what is this?" And so saying she hands me the stick she is holding before moving back and leaning against the wall. I barely notice though because I am too focused on the stick in my hand. It's... amazing. There is a turning mechanism in the middle. Running my hands down the bow (for that's what it is) I can feel all the inner workings of this amazing mechanism. Carefully I press the small button at the top and feel the straight staff bend into the bow. The spring in the bow makes the string snap out also. However there is a slight catch with the spring as one of them has become slightly rusty. Closing my eyes I feel inside for the rust and banish it with a small breath. Again I press the button, feeling the string wind back in, and the joint mechanism straighten. I let out a low hum of contentment. It's working perfectly. Straightening I look at Aisha and I'm astonished to see her eyes glowing slightly.
"What's up with your eyes?" I question her. She grins at me before her eyes flash bright green and her face goes blank. I can suddenly hear her voice but I don't know how, her mouth doesn't move.
*I guess it's time to explain then isn't it.* she says. Shocked I clap my hands to my ears, but that doesn't do anything.
"What? Where? How?" is all I manage to stutter out.
*What is you can hear my thoughts, where is in your head and how... how is more difficult.* she sends to me. My mouth drops open and I just stare at her in absolute disbelief. This. Can. Not. Be. Happening. I hear her sigh in my head then emotions come back on her face. She shakes her head like she is shaking off water.
"Guess I should explain then huh." she says softly.
"YA THINK!" I yell at her, causing her to flinch slightly. Hastily I spread my hands in a placating gesture. I hadn't meant to scare her. Aisha takes a deep breath in and I can see she is calming herself. Opening her eyes she pins me in place with her gaze.
"Well then. To start at the beginning. You see until recently I didn't know my animal. I wasn't sure what hybrid I was as I always assumed that I never properly bonded with my animal. I used to get in a lot of trouble. Like the usual, pushed in lockers, down stairs yada yada. Anyway you probably heard the story of how I grew into my animal.." At this point she looks at me expectantly and I nod slightly.
"Well yeah. And I'm not your average hybrid. I mean being the tiger is hard enough, but I have abilities. I.." she stops suddenly and tilts her head again. Her eyes flash momentarily green again before she smirks at me.
"I have a better idea." And so saying she beckons at me to follow her and leaves the room. All the others have made themselves at home around the large room. Louis is sitting in Harry's lap on the floor and they are leaning against the couch. Zayn sits on it with Neelam next to him. The two are only touching slightly but the way they hold themselves you know they are well aware of that fact. Sophie sits next to Neelam but more in the corner and Emma is perched on the arm. Liam is leaning over the chair Christina is sitting in and Kate is on the floor looking up at the two of them. Niall and Chelsea are sitting crosslegged across from each other. It looks as though they are having a serious talk. Headmaster Smith is watching all of them with a conflicted expression on his face. Aisha walks up to him and wraps her arms around his waist, leaning into him. I am so confused right now. Those two act like a mixture between partners, siblings and good friends, yet he must be about five years older than her. Plus he is the Headmaster. It's kinda odd. Although confused I make my way over to the two boys on the floor and sit next to them.
