"Oh thank goodness." Wild said in relief when our eyes landed on the first town we've seen in almost a week.
"Hopefully this town has medicine in it." I said. Wild had been forced to deal with the pain from the bear attack on his back because I had no painkillers left from his days of sickness. It made me feel even more useless.
"This place doesn't look like much of a town." Wild said lowly. I had to agree. The "town" was small, very very small. It had at the most ten houses. I made sure Wild was close when we finally passed by the town's sign. In dark, bold letters it read, Blightown.
"Maybe we should keep moving." Wild said, holding my hand impossibly tighter. The houses were nice and clean but the town felt erie and out of place. But on the other hand, Wild could possibly get medicine here. That was all it took to convince me to stay.
"We're staying." Wild frowned but said nothing else. Soon enough, we were approached by a young woman. Her black hair was tied back in a low ponytail and she wore a dark red dress that fit snug against her.
"Hello, welcome to Blightown," She said, giving us a large smile. Wild smiled a small smile back while I kept a straight face. "My name's Callis, we don't get many visitors here." It was a silent question of why we were here.
"We're traveling across Vespear. We would love a place to stay for the night. We'll be out of your hair by tomorrow morning." Wild said, explaining our situation in as little detail as possible.
"Oh! Well my home has two spare guest rooms you can use. Let me lead the way." Callis said cheerily. She turned on her heel and began walking deeper into the town. Every few seconds she would turn around and give me a look before turning around. I'm sure Wild noticed it as well because he pushed himself even closer to my side.
As soon as we got to her doorstep the rays decided to make an appearance. Skip popped his head out of the bag and Callis' eyes opened wide at the creatures she's probably never seen seeing as though they aren't native to his continent. The three brothers struggled out of my bag and found their way onto the Wild and I's shoulders.
"Such unique pets." Callis said, her voice lowering as she gazed upon us. She opened her door wide and let us inside.
"Thank you." Wild said, making sure the rays were secure on his body.
"Let me make you some food. You two must be exhausted." The door was shut behind us and she walked around me, voluntarily rubbing her body against mine as she passed by. Wild yanked me away from her as soon as he realized and I smiled. He was jealous.
Callis lead us to her dining room and showed us to our seats before walking into the kitchen.
"I don't like her." Wild whispered while Onyx nibbled on his finger.
"We won't be here long." I said, running a hand through his hair trying to give him some form of comfort. It was only minutes later when Callis came back in with a large plate of steaming steak.
"Here you go," Callis said, dropping the plate in front of me and where I was sure she would sit, at the head of the table. "Now what's your name?" The question was directed at soley me and I could practically feel the anger coming off of Wild.
"This is Wild," I began, gesturing to my left. "I am Zypher."
"Zypher is such an interesting name." Callis said, giving me a flirty smile and sliding a hand closer to me.
The entire meal was uncomfortable and awkward. On one side of me I had a strange woman with a weird obsession with me and on the other, my little fairy was fuming.
Wild and I ate quickly, both having the same idea that if we finished faster, we could go to sleep faster. When the last bite of food entered Wilds mouth, I turned towards Callis.
"I think we'd like to go to sleep if that's alright."
"Oh! Of course, please follow me," Callis said. We all stood up at the same time and Callis directed us down a hallway. "This right here is my room," Callis said, her eyes shifting to meet mine. "And here are the two rooms for you."
"Thank you." Wild said curtly before grabbing the door handle and pulling me inside. I laughed slightly at his grumpy expression. He shut the door behind us quickly and stalked over to the bed. The rays followed behind him and snuggled into the pillows.
"Are you a little jealous?" I teased, putting a hand around Wilds waist.
"No." I smiled but decided to change the topic.
"How does your back feel? I forgot to ask for medicine." I asked, pulling up the back of his shirt to see if the bandages needed changed.
"Hurts a little but I'll be fine until we can get medicine from someone else." Wild said, the last part of his sentence was much more stern.
"Understood." I said, holding my hands up.
"I don't like her." Wild said, dropping onto the bed. I grinned and dropped my bag and jacket on the ground.
"Well I don't like her either." I said, I pulled the blankets up and snuggled into the bed with Wild. The rays settled into Wilds hair and pushed against his back. I was out cold as soon as my head it the pillow.

The pain in my back was growing bigger and bigger. To the point that I could no longer ignore it. I sat up in bed, sighing in relief when my back left the mattress. I turned to my left to see if I had woken up Zypher but there was no one laying next to me.
A faint red glow caught my eye and I turned towards a window I hadn't noticed when we first walked into the room. I crawled to the edge of the bed and sat on my knees before pulling the curtain back. A strangled gasp left my lips at the scene outside.
Zypher was tied to a thick log on a wooden platform, looking to be still asleep and around him were all the villagers. Each one clothed in dark robes and holding a torch.

So I did a dumb. This chapter from the beginning was supposed to be in Wilds perspective but I must have missed that in my notes and started it in Zyphers since most are from his perspective. I didn't notice till I got to the part where Zypher couldn't be narratingMight redo chapter at some point in Wilds POV
