Half way to our walk to the closest town, Wild began falling behind. I had already slowed down a considerable amount and wasn't going to anymore.
"You need to rest. I don't know how you're so tired but we won't make it at this pace," I said, turning around and walking up to him.
"I haven't been able to be in this form for a long time. I'm not used to it. I'm sorry," Wild said. He yawned and closed his eyes for a second. In that second, I approached him and picked him up bridal style. Wild gasped and looked up at me confused.
"W-what are you doing?" Wild asked, his voice an octave higher.
"We need to make it to town before nightfall," I said, starting once again towards the town. Wild said nothing more but his body was very tense. I could tell he was uncomfortable but he quickly fell asleep. I couldn't help but admire him from his spot in my arms. Fair skin and pointed ears. The most soft hair and the absolutely prettiest eyes I'd ever seen. I didn't have to see them currently to know how much they shined.
I shook my head, trying to clear the thoughts flooding into my brain. This fairy was a stranger that I only met around twenty-four hours ago. He didn't matter to me.
If he didn't matter then why was I helping him?

My lips upturned in the slightest when I finally reached the town gates. I nodded at the guards at the door and stalked inside, still carrying a sleeping fairy. I found the hotel quickly and bought us a room for a higher price than it was worth but that's what's to be expected in one of the most greedy towns in Vespear. I walked up the steps carefully, not wanting to wake Wild. I struggled with the door but managed to get it open as well.
I had paid for a two bed room but this room had one bed and a pile a blankets on the door. Better than I expected honestly. I set Wild on the bed and opened the only other door in the room. As soon as I touched it, it broke into pieces.
"Whatever," I mumbled and stepped into the small bathroom. It had no sink but a toilet and a shower would work for tonight. I took off my coat and hung it on the door before starting up the shower. The water barely made it to luke warm but it was enough. I stripped out of the rest of my clothes and stepped under the weak spray of water.
I had no soap at the current moment and the hotel had not supplied it so I did my best with just my hands. When I finished, I thought back to Wild laying on the bed. He may enjoy a shower. I stepped out of the shower and realized quickly that there were no towels. I growled in annoyance and decided I would be giving these guys a piece of my mind tomorrow morning.
I looked up when the sound of feet hitting the floor echoed in the room. I slipped on my underware quickly before Wild stopped right in the doorway. His hair was a wreck and he had marks on his face from where my coat had been pressing but he still managed to look cute. Wilds face went thurmo-nucular when he woke up enough to comprehend the situation.
"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry Zypher. I didn't know!" Wild rushed out, ducking his hand and taking a few steps away from the door. I laughed at his panic.
"No worries. We're even now. I saw you naked, you have now seen me mostly naked." My words did nothing to help his flustered state.
"I'm going to go over there now," Wild said, pointing to the corner of the room. He was at a loss. I smirked and grabbed his arm, pulling him into the bathroom with me. Instead of the smooth line I wanted to deliver, Wild slipped on the wet floor and began to fall. In a flash, Wild was being held securely against my bare chest.
"Are you okay?" I asked, worry clear in my voice. I mentally scolded myself for showing any sort of emotion. Wild looked up at me in shock and tried to catch his breath.
"Yeah. I'm good. Thank you," Wild said, turning his face up to me again. We shared a gaze for a moment. The only thing in the world became him but as soon as it came, it was gone. Wild pulled himself out of my arms and coughed in embarrassment. I chuckled and grabbed my clothes from the back of the toilet.
"Shower's all yours," I said, waving my hand in its direction. The blankets on the floor became my drying towl. I set one aside for Wild and clambered into the small bed. I was exhausted. I shut my eyes but opened them when I heard the water turn off.
When Wild came out of the bath room, I drew in a sharp breath. He was shirtless and shoeless and dripping wet. His hair hung down around him, darker than before. Drops of water ran down his smooth chest and I gulped, not liking how he affected me. I turned on my side immedialty. I felt the bed dip and the candle in the room was blown out.
"Goodnight," Wild whispered. I held my tongue, not trusting my voice. The image of Wild kept me up half the night and before I knew it I was turned back towards him.
"Vision," I mumbled, just barely auditable. My eyes adjusted immedialty to the dark, allowing me to see Wild perfectly. He had turned to look at me in his sleep which gave me a perfect view of his soft face. I resisted the urge to reach out and touch him and instead settled with just watching.
What was he doing to me?
