Jungkook

"How long ago did he check out?" I stammer, shaking with undoubted fear, "Ten minutes ago I'd say."

The others sigh in the same realization I did... Yoongi was gone.

"Is there an address with where he was released to?" Joon asks, proping his arm on the counter, "That's confidential."

"We're looking for him could you just help us out!" I yell, slamming my fist down, "I don't like that tone young man."

"Yeah? Well it can get a hell of a lot worse if you decide difficult is the path you want to stick on."

"Jungkook, calm down she's just doing her job," Taehyung grabs my shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"Let me see him you unibrowed bitch!" I scream, the others pull me back to prevent me from climbing over the counter.

Yoongi

My Aunt sets dinner in front of me, smiling as she rambles on about the old times, "Oh I'm so glad you didn't grow too much you're still a baby boy!" She exclaims, pinching my cheek.

"I'm not that short," I mumble, eating as quickly as I can so I could head up to what would now be my room.

"Is something bothering you honey?" She asks, stroking my hair, "I'm fine Aunt Mae, I think I'll just lay down now, if you don't mind."

"Of course I don't mind, Angel." I clench my fist, walking up to my room with this tight pain in my chest. Angel was a name my mother used to call me, I guess Mae just believed it would help me to ease in.

I wasn't allowed to talk to anyone from my "past life." That included Jungkook.

The night seemed to waste away and before I knew it, I was asleep thinking of the only person who has kept me sane.

"Rise and shine!" Mae calls to me, her keys jingling in the air, "I have work, the name of your new school and bus card is on the coffee table!"

My car was taken when I was hospitalized because the city of Seoul believed I might be a danger on the road. I don't know why but I guess here we are.

I quickly get dressed so I could get to school as quickly as possible. I'm not sure if it was the pills, maybe it was, but I was actually looking forward to a new school.

The name of the school down on the paper Mae had left looked oddly familiar, I brush it off with a forced laugh and a faked smile.

The subway wasn't too terribly crowded for it being so early in the morning. You'd think people had work to get to.

When I arrive at school, a few girls are talking with one another just outside the door. I stand by the hedge trim with my music paused.

"Cholseo-Rin look at him, what a snack." One girl chuckles. I roll my eyes, continuing my intense stare off with my phone.

The bell rings and a stampede of students crowd the halls. I was in class 3-B which was up two flights of stairs and down a long corridor. The sound of muffled whispers echo as the all rave about a new boy.

Class finally starts at eight in the morning, the sun peeks through the window from behind the building across the street from us.

"LeeSeung, please stop mentally undressing our new student and actually focus on the lesson." The teacher snaps, turning back to the chalkboard.

"Sorry Miss. I was having a good time."

I side glance LeeSeung, gritting my teeth. He winks in return, never once did his eyes leave me nor did half the kids in school.

When the final bell rang, I felt a great relief lifted from my chest. The crowd seemed to follow me to the station even though I heard half of them say they didn't even live on the other side of the city.

A few minutes after I step foot into Aunt Mae's house I get a text from an unknown number.

Unknown: Hey cutie, guess who's picture I've got! You look so lost, what's wrong little kitty?

How did they even take this? I surely would've noticed this morning, how was I so oblivious?

Narrator

Let it be known that that night, both Yoongi and Jungkook slept soundly dreaming of one another. The next day the carried on with normal lives like they had never even met.

Slowly as time grew, they began to forget. They still had pictures of one another but they chose to pretend they didn't exist, it hurt less that way.

The ragtag six had grown stronger, the bond they shared tightened. Yoongi on the other hand couldn't say he had made friends, he simply thought he'd be replacing the one's he had back in Seoul.

Jungkook joined the creative clubs and Yoongi wrote a poem. "From my Seoul" he named it. It was truly one of his finest works.

The amount of time passed since Yoongi was released was only four months yet it felt like four years.

They never lost hope in seeing one another, that is, for the first few weeks. After three months it just became a sad scene.

Both boys still loved each other yet they knew nothing would bring them together. Not at the moment at least.

Jungkook

"Mommy?" I croak, rubbing my eyes. Through her drowsiness, she sits up and looks at me, "Yes bun?"

"Can I... Sleep in here tonight?" I cry, shaking as she motions me to her bed.

"Of course you can, stay with me for as long as you need I'm always here for you." She plays with my hair, soothing me to sleep.

Her humming is what really gets me, a few minutes of the angelic melody and I'm out cold.

Yoongi

"Mae?" My voice shakes through the dead of night. She doesn't respond, only shift to her other side.

I sigh, shuffling back to room with my medication in hand. The pills had never worked, I lied to myself.

We tend to do that to make ourselves feel less pathetic. In reality, we're never truly fine. Something is always wronf whether we say so or not.

Maybe I could try to see Jungkook again or maybe I could just take my never-ending nap with these pills. They are supposed to help me. Sleep that is.
