"jack, please understand." you say.

"i'm trying to y/n. why all of a sudden you don't wanna be with me anymore, i'm trying so hard to understand." he says as he runs a hand through his hair.

you had been trying to tell him why you didn't wanna be with him for now for the past 30 minutes.

he didn't let you be by yourself. at times, you loved that about him. but slowly, you were losing touch with yourself and he wouldn't let you go off to find out who you really were.

"jack, i love you. so much. but you need to understand, i need time by myself. i can't continue to do this anymore. maybe one day in the future, we'll be together again. i just need to be by myself for now."

he looks up with his beet red eyes and says, "y/n, i can leave you at home by yourself. why do you need to breakup with me to figure out who you really are."

you sigh, not being able to contain how frustrated you were.

instead of explaining, you picked up your bag and went to the door.

"y/n, what are you-"

"i've given you the whole world, i'm just asking for some space."

and with that, you closed the door on that chapter of your life.
