"kiss me" she said bluntly

he didn't take her seriously, what with all the alcohol probably coursing through her veins right now.

"um, no. but i can bring you to my house to pick up your car." he says, as he gets up and holds his hand out.

"but jaaaaack" she whined

she looked up at him and for a second he thought about how she didn't look drunk but he couldn't. he couldn't and wouldn't take advantage of her.

"come on. i have cheez it's at home." he says.

she leaps up and holds his hand.

he's taken a back but likes it. but he doesn't feel like he's worthy of even holding her hand, after he had broken her heart.

they got in the car and went home.

"why didn't you kiss me?" she asks as she takes a shot.

"you aren't supposed to be drinking that." he simply says as he takes the bottle away from her.

"you didn't answer the question."

"because i can't. i'm trying to get you to love me again. i can't take advantage of you. you're drunk and when you wake up, you'd probably hate me and regret all of this." he says as he makes himself a sandwich.

"i'm not drunk." she says in a quiet voice.

"uh yes you are. now go up change, i have one of my t shirts out for you. someone called and said that you need to be home asap and get sleep cause you have a big meeting tomorrow."

"you know, when we first started dating, i thought you were the one. like, we'd get married and have kids and the whole fairytale ending. after everything that happened, i lost hope of that but for some reason, it's coming back. that somehow, i'm gonna end up with you. and it's so odd." she said as she checked her nails

"i love you. with everything in me. but until you properly trust me and love me again, i won't make a move. i respect you. now let's get to changing." he says in a quiet voice.

while she's changing, he can't help but think about what she said.

in the midst of all his thoughts, he felt a hand grab his hand.

he turns around and looks to see her there, with an expression he could t figure out.

she leaned in and kissed him. slowly, but passionately. he loved it and couldn't help but kiss back.

she pulled away slowly and gave him a soft, small smile.

"i'm not drunk" she repeated again.

jack smiles and picks her up, reattaching his lips with her.

oh, how they missed this.
