THE POWER OF TRUE LOVE

CHAPTER 26

ZOEY'S POV
"It's time" Crystal said turning to face us. It had been quite a few hours since the Lycans left and we're hoping that they're not hearing us anymore. "but before taking any step we need to check around about the security and all" Sarah said. "security?" Rose asked in confusion. "yeah I'm pretty sure they would've made special arrangements for our security while they will be away because obviously they don't trust us enough to leave us on our own heck, they don't trust us at all" I said and all of them nodded. " so shall we?" Sarah asks and all of us nodded. All of us got out of our room and decided to go to the front doors of the mansion. The moment we reached there we saw 5 guys, who I am guessing are also werewolves, where standing at the front doors of the mansion, guarding it. Their  backs were facing us. Before anyone of us could even say a word, all 5 of them turned around.

JACOB'S POV
Me and my friends were guarding the main entrance, as we were ordered by the Kings, when we heard someone coming from behind us. All of us turned around to see 5 girls standing there, looking at us. "umm...hi" the girl with blue eyes said. "Hi" I replied with a big smile on my face. I'm guessing these are the Queens. "We're guessing you guys are a part of the security arranged...right?" the girl next to her asked looking at us. "yeah we were ordered by the kings to guard the palace while they were away" I said. "the Kings as in the lycans?" one of the girl asked and I nodded. "look we know that you are the part of the security and all but it would be better if we all introduced ourselves, don't you think" the girl from before said. "yeah that'd be good, so I'll start by introducing myself. My name is Jacob Gabriel and these are my friends James Knotman, Daniel Warrior, Alex Spearman and Lucas Ferra" I said pointing at my friends. "It's nice to meet you all. My name is Crystal Paige and these are my friends Zoey Morgan, Sarah Woods, Ashley Cole and Rose Carter" She said pointing to her friends. "so we're guessing you're the Queens" James said. Listening to this all of them took in a huge sigh. "we're prisoners here" Crystal said with a hint of sadness in her voice and I was confused. What does she mean by prisoners? Aren't they here because they're the soulmates of the Kings? "Anyways it was nice meeting you all. Good Night." Ashley said with a small smile on her face and all of us nodded in response. With that all of them turned around and started walking back from where they came. Me and my friends also turning back to our positions.

LATER THAT NIGHT...

JAMES' POV
Me along with Jacob and the other boys were guarding the main entrance of the castle. All the castle walls were surrounded by werewolf guards, as ordered by the Kings. I was looking around for any potential danger when suddenly we heard a loud howl echo in the night sky. All of us became alert, vigorously looking around, trying to find the source of the howl. Before anyone of us could even move a muscle, 4 more equally loud howls followed. We were able to locate the direction from where the howls were emerging, thanks to our werewolf abilities. "guys whatever this is, it's not good" Jacob said looking in the direction from where the howls came. "we need to wake up the girls and inform The Kings about it" Daniel said. But before anyone of us could even move a step ahead, all of us heard a sound, like someone had opened a window, even thought it was very faint, almost inaudible, but we had heard it. All of us looked up towards the source of the sound and my eyes widened in shock. The window of one of the rooms of the castle was open, but not just any room, it was the room Crystal and the other girls were in. Then immediately after, we saw Sarah's head poking out of the window, looking directly at something in the dark surrounding. Suddenly the howls echoed again, this time all 4 of them together. What the hell is happening?!. Then Ashley, Rose and Zoe came up to the window as well and then came Crystal, with a shiny object in her hands. I focused a litte harder and noticed that it was, a piece of mirror? It was of a average size, not too big, not too small. "why are they carrying a piece of mirror?" Jacob whispered beside me in confusion but I didn't dare divert my eyes from them. What are they doing?. Then suddenly Crystal placed the piece of mirror directly in front of the moonlight. The howls erupted once again and I was even more confused. Then at the exact moment, Crystal started moving the piece of mirror in a up and down motion. As she did so, the mirror reflected the moonlight and shined in the dark night sky. The moment she did this the howls came again, this time louder than ever. Crystal continued to do the action and each time the piece of mirror shined, the howls erupted. This kept happening for a while. None of us spoke a word or moved a muscle, just in case they saw us. We wanted to know what this is all about!. After 5-7 minutes of doing this, Crystal stopped. All of the girls had tears in their eyes but they were not tears of sadness. No. They were tears of joy. Then all of them stepped back, disappearing into the room. Sarah looked around, trying to see if anyone saw them but she couldn't locate us. We could see there bedroom window from our position but they couldn't see us due to the wall angle. She then cautiously closed the window back. All of just stood in silence for a few seconds, trying to process what just happened. "Guys the howls have stopped" Lucas said. It was then that I removed my eyes from the window and noticed that the howls had actually stopped. "we should go upstairs and confront the girls about it" Lucas said. He turned around and was about to march upstairs when Daniel caught his arm. "No it's not the right time to discuss this. It's late, they need to have some rest and we have to guard the castle as well. It's better if we talk to them in the morning" Daniel said and I nodded. "I agree with Dan" I said and Lucas sighed. "Fine if you guys say so" He said and turned back to his position. All of us also resumed to our job. I took a huge breath in, the cool night air calming me instantly.

They have some explaining to do...
