THE POWER OF TRUE LOVE

CHAPTER 32

NOAH'S POV
All of us had been walking for hours now. The girls were really tired but we can not stop. "when will they be back?" I asked Jacob. "they said they would be back within 2 days and if that is true then we still have a day to escape..but..." he stopped mid sentence and I turned to look at him. "but there's a chance that they might come sooner than they had said" I completed his sentence and he nodded. A huge sigh escaped my lips. We were running out of time!. As my mind was racing in worry I felt a hand embrace my hand. I turned my face only to stare into Rose's beautiful eyes. Looking into her eyes made me forget about everything for the moment. She tightened her grip on my hand in a reassuring way. "we'll get out of this" she whispered looking at me lovingly. I wrapped my arm around her waist and brought her closer as we kept walking with the others. Even though we were trapped in this horrible nightmare, my mind had never been this peaceful as it was in this moment. This moment made me realise that I had my soulmate and my friends by my side and together we could tackle any challenge no matter how hurt we get. This thought made me feel the energy that I had never felt before.

We will get out of this nightmare no matter what!

A FEW HOURS LATER...

"is this tunnel ever gonna finish" Crystal said tiredly. "we're almost there hon" Tyler said wrapping his arms around her in a warm embrace. "it's almost nighttime. We've gotta hurry" I said and all of them nodded. All of us kept walking and soon the stone wall which closed the island entrance of this tunnel came in our vision range. "we're here!" Zayn said in a excited voice. "cmon guys let's hurry" I said and with that all of us started jogging towards the wall.

SARAH'S POV
"thank god we're finally here!" I said breathing in a sigh of relief. I leaned against the wall, trying to relax my body when suddenly a thought crossed my mind. My body instantly froze as I repeated the thought in my mind. "what's wrong babe?" Mason said as he examined my scared expression. "ho-how will we o-open this wall" I stuttered, not being able to hide my fear. Everyone turned to look at me with wide eyes. None of us had thought about it!. I could hear Crystal's breathing starting to get heavy as she tried to maintain her calm, standing beside me. "Crystal what's that?" Mason said as his eyes fell upon the small sling bag that Crystal was carrying. Her eyes immediately widened as she realised she still had the bag in which we had kept the map. She immediately opened it and retrieved the map. It still had the riddle written on it's backside. "what's that?" Mason questioned further. "it's the clue that helped us in finding the tunnel in the mansion" she replied staring intently at the piece of paper, as if wishing for a miracle to happen. "how did you guys find it?" Noah asked confused. "It's a long story. We'll tell you guys everything but first we need to get past this wall" Crystal said and Noah nodded. "this is the only thing that can help us get past this wall" I said looking at the map. "Crys may I have a look at it" I asked her. "of course" she said as she handed me the map. I examined it from both the sides but there was nothing that could help us get through this wall. "is there something else in the bag, anything at all?" I asked Crys and she shook her head. "nothing at all" she said. I furrowed my eyebrows in both confusion and frustration. We can't loose after coming this far!. I removed my back from the stone wall and stood up straight. I kept staring at the piece of paper and by each passing second my frustration was rising. "Sarah can we have a look at it?" Tyler asked standing on my right side. I nodded. But as I passed him the piece of paper, it slipped out of Tyler's hands and fell on the ground, right in front of the wall, at the centre. "sorry" Tyler said as he bent down to pick it up but before he could get his hand on the paper, the tunnel started shaking. Tyler immediately stood back up and all of us looked around in confusion and slight fear. Suddenly my eyes shifted to the map lying on the ground and I saw that it  was glowing with a bright light. "guys look at the map!" I shouted to all of them over the noise. All of them turned to look at it and their eyes widened. As all of us were staring at the glowing paper as it started going into the ground. I blinked my eyes and looked at it again in disbelief. Is this really happening?!. My mind was not ready to believe it but my eyes bore witness to the situation. All of us watched closely as the ground absorbed the paper just like how earth absorbs the rain. The next thing we know, the tunnel had stopped shaking and all of us were standing in dead silence. "what just happened?!" Ashley spoke in disbelief. Before anyone of us could speak another word, we heard a deep rumble behind us and light entered the dark tunnel. I spun around in surprise and saw that the stone wall was slowly opening. "Oh my god!" I shouted, breathing in a sigh of relief. We stood silent as the wall slowly opened and more and more light entered the dark tunnel. The light of hope for all of us. The moment the stone wall opened completely, all of us rushed to the other side. "guys this is the cave in which we found the tunnel" Zayn said as the stone wall covered up the entrance of the tunnel again. We were now on the extreme left Island, far far away from the mansion. "but how did you guys find the tunnel?" Rose asked Zayn. "We didn't. We took refuge in this cave after hours of searching this Island for an escape route, obviously we didn't find any" Zayn said. "and while the boys went out for a walk, I stayed behind, resting in the cave when suddenly this stone wall started shifting and the tunnel appeared in front of my eyes as a magic" he continued. I was confused, how did this side of the tunnel open up without any clue or something of that sorts. "I got it" Crystal said as all of us turned to look at her. "Both the entrances of the tunnel are connected. When we opened the first entrance of this tunnel, back at the mansion, the second entrance of this tunnel, which was in this cave also opened up" she explained. It made complete sense now. "guys we should get some rest before we start planning our escape. We're all pretty bumped out aren't we" Alex said with a chuckle. All of us nodded, laughing as well. With that all of us walked out of the cave and into the beautiful peaceful night sky. The sand beneath our feet was cold, immediately showering me with a relaxed feeling. All of us sat down on the cool sand admiring the beautiful moon and welcoming the much required peace. None of us said anything for a moment, still trying to digest the fact that we were finally together.

After a few moments of blissful silence, Mason spoke up. "you guys wanna tell us everything that happened while we were away?" he said looking at me and the girls. I turned my head to look at Jacob and his friends and they gave me a reassuring smile. I turned back to face Mason and his friends. "of course we'll tell you everything" I said with a small smile.

"but it's gonna be a long ride"
