CHAPTER 28

CRYSTAL'S POV
"Alright...I'll tell you the truth." I said with a heavy sigh. I told them everything. From the day me and my friends met Tyler and his friends to the day the Lycans had almost marked us. Everything. After I was finished, a deep silence had surrounded us. Jacob and the other boys looked beyond shocked and none of us spoke a word for a few minutes. After what felt like years but was only a few minutes Jacob spoke up "We will help you get out of here." I turned to look at him with wide eyes. "r-really" Ash stuttered and the boys nodded. "You guys have already suffered a lot and it's now time that you get justice." James said. "Can we have a look at the map" Jacob asked and I nodded. "it's in our room." I said, but the moment i said those words, a sound at the back of my mind told me not to show them the map. After all they were the loyals of the Lycans. With that all of us started making our way to the room. When we were about to enter the mansion, Jacob and his friends suddenly stopped and for a moment I thought that my suspicions had come to be true and that they had changed their intension of helping us. "what's wrong" Zoey asked them in a slightly scared voice. Maybe she was having the same thoughts as me. "carry on guys. We'll join you shortly"  James said to us with a small smile. "where are you going?" I asked them but instead of replying to my question, they turned around and started walking towards the outside of the mansion. At this point my suspicion was growing stronger and stronger. "guys...i think they're backing out" Sarah said with a hint of both sadness and fear. "I think so too" I added. "Then we better run and hide that map before they see it" Zoey said. With that all of us dashed towards our room and once we reached there, Rose locked the door behind us. I immediately ran to the closet and opened it. I stretched my hand behind all the clothes and pulled out the small brown bag which I had found with the map, inside that prohibited room. Then as we were about to hide it somewhere else a loud knock was heard from the door of our room. "Girls open up" We heard Jacob's voice from the other side of the door. "What do we do now" Zoey whisper shouted to all of us. "We will not open that door. We don't know whether they are on our side or not. What if they have already informed the Lycans about all of this and they are on their way to the castle" Rose whisper shouted and I began to grow even more panicky with each passing second. "Girls...You know that we can hear you right" Jacob said and all of us froze. "Don't worry guys we are on your side. We had gone to make sure that none of the other werewolf guards were around the castle because if they discovered that we're trying to help you escape...well you know what would've been the consequences" He continued. Still none of us made any move to open the door. "Guys we know that you don't trust us and I guarantee that you all are thinking that we are plotting against you but please believe us we really want to help you" This time it was James who spoke. "...we don't want to repeat the mistakes that we did in the past" He continued but this time his voice was comparatively lower and he sounded almost...hurt. "What do you mean" I said back. There was a moment of silence before James replied. "We will tell you everything just open the door please" Now his voice sounded pleading. I slowly unzipped my jacket and placed the bag in the inner pocket and zipped my jacket back up as silently as possible. If they tried anything we would make a run for it, even if there is a high possibility that they will catch us, we won't surrender without a fight. With that thought in my mind I turned to look at Rose and nodded, signaling her to open the door. She was a little hesitant at first but after a few seconds, she slowly turned around to face the door and unlocked it and immediately came by our sides. The door slowly creeked open and within moments Jacob and the others were standing in front of us. All of them entered the room and Jacob closed the door behind him softly. All of us stood in silence for a few seconds. "Can you show us the map?" Alex asked us, breaking the thick silence. "Not until you tell us what you meant by not repeating your past mistakes" I replied. He took a huge breath in. "Alright" He said "but you all might wanna sit down because it's a long story"
