Chapter 2

Angel's POV

'What happened to everyone?! Who are these people? How was everyone killed?!' I felt my blood begin to boil but on the outside I showed no emotion.

"Who did this and why?" The strangers looked at me as if they weren't really listening to what I had to say.

An innocent blonde young man began talking to a man dressed in all black with slick back hair. "If it's on the hunter's website then it must be true. They wouldn't allow false information on it."

"There's nothing we can do about it now. Let's just leave." He began to walk away and the rest followed him.

"Wait!" I yelled to his back and he stopped. "Who the hell did this to my clan?! Who do I need to kill?!" A couple of them chuckled a bit and the rest remained emotionless like the leader.

"We killed them. Feitan, you can take care of this one." Some of the others let out a small groan in response to their boss' order.

A boy in black stepped forward. There was a pause before he was suddenly in front of me. I didn't have much time to respond but I was still able to jump into the air and avoided his attack. The only members who didn't leave yet was a weird man in a white and pink outfit and the blonde kid from before.

"What?" I heard 'Feitan' say as he came to a halt behind me. I guess he's use to his targets not being able to avoid him. I understand it though, he's fast. The jester man had an amused, dark look on his face.

The small question made the rest of the members turn around to see what happened. When they noticed that I was standing before them, unharmed and carrying my baskets of fruit, they seemed just as confused as Feitan.

"Hey! I thought you were going to kill her?" An older blonde man with slicked back hair called out to Feitan.

"It's alright. If you try again I'm sure you'll get it this time." Yelled the younger blonde enthusiastically.

"You won't be offing me today." I set down my baskets and prepared myself for a fight. "I won't allow you to get away after what you did to my family!" Feitan came after me again and I dodged it by a hair. I noticed that he was aiming for my neck so I assumed he was responsible for the beheaded people.

After a couple more failed attempts of killing me, the older blonde man attacked me too. He had a similar attack strategy as Feitan except he tried grabbing my head.

'Damn. At this point all I can really do is dodge. They won't let me touch them and I'm not moving fast enough to keep up with them.' Both men swipe at me again. 'Oh well. I guess I'm going to have to alter my body some.' I felt my chest and hips get lighter. Instantly, I was able to move 1 second faster than I was a minute ago, just what I needed.

I maneuvered fast enough to run behind the blonde man and kick him to the ground. Feitan clicked his tongue out of frustration and aimed for my legs this time. His hand pierced into my leg but didn't go too deep due to my muscles. "Hehe. My body reacts on instinct. It's quick to harden when necessary." He yanked his hand out of my leg. Not going to lie, it hurt really bad but the Broyk aren't known to back down or show pain.

From the corner of my eye, I noticed that the other members were talking with who I believed was the leader. A girl joined the fight as the rest continued to watch the fight. She had long pink hair and wore a white dress of some sort, a style I've never seen before. Now all three of them attacked me at once with their various styles and techniques. I couldn't manage an attack anymore, I could only dodge.

For the first time during that fight, I hit the ground. It was only for a moment but that was all they needed to pin me to the ground. "I caught you." I heard Feitan say. His words were broken up and his voice was a little bit more raspy than I expected.
