Chapter 6

3rd person POV

Flashback! 9 months before exam

"Looks like we've got a message from the boss." Hisoka informed Angel. He read the message to himself and then continued talking. "Do you like a singer called Xanthe?"

"Oh my god! I love her! She's the first person I listened to when I came to the main land and she had the best album of this year by far! And-... wait why do you ask?"

Hisoka smiled at his partner and came up with a small lie. "She is performing in the area and we know how much you like her so we are going to take you."

"Really?! You're serious?!" She jumped around the hotel room before she talked to the magician again. "When is the show and who's coming with us?"

Hisoka read the message again. "It seems Shalnark, Franklin, Feitan, and Phinks are coming along with the boss and it's tomorrow night in the town's plaza." Angel jumped around the room again and grabbed Hisoka's hands to have him dance along with her.

"I can't wait! I can't wait!" She giggled.

The next night the spiders met up in Angel and Hisoka's hotel room. "Angel, would you mind going out and buying us snacks for the show?" Asked Chrollo.

"No I don't mind. Who's coming with me?" She was still beaming over the chance to meet her idol.

"You should be fine on your own." He answered.

"What? But I'm not supposed to go anywhere by myself. What's going on?" Angel finally noticed that something was amiss. Chrollo would never have one of his spiders go anywhere alone if they could avoid it.

"There are snacks in the lobby and we just got here. I thought that you would be okay if you went to the lobby and came back." He smiled at her to assure her. Angel nodded her head and left, still happy about the upcoming concert.

"She's quite ignorant." Feitan voiced the moment she was out of earshot.

"You know you like her. Quite acting like you don't." Phinks chuckled.

It's true. Everyone in the troupe had a special place in their hearts for her. Now that they know her, they feel bad about the pain they caused her a few months prior. When they hear her cry in her sleep their hearts hurt a bit. Feitan was not immune to this pain either or to the girl's smile. Although he was cold, he still couldn't hate her as much as he wanted to.

"Anyway let's talk about the mission," They quickly discussed how they would be acquiring the money the concert would be making. Before they could finish discussing everything, they could hear Angel run down the hallway.

"Come on let's go!" She chirped begins the 4 foot stack of snacks she was carrying. She shifted the tower of food over a bit so she could make eye contact with the group. "Sorry Phinks but I couldn't find my wallet so I just used yours. I'll pay you back when I get the chance."

"You know what!!... it's... fine, I guess." The spiders chuckled and headed out of the hotel room.

That night Angel sat in the front row of her idol's concert and the troupe robbed them blind. Angel of course had no idea of the robbery or else she might've tried to stop it. Tonight there was a big charity fundraiser that over 30 million people showed up for and Angel would hate for this event to be jeopardized.

The troupe were about to leave and the concert was almost over. Shalnark was looking at the crowd from backstage when he noticed Angel. She had a hopeful look in her eyes. "Fine." He pulled on his control device and started controlling Xanthe herself.
