Chapter 7

"Angel?"

'Even though they killed my clan, I still care for them.'

"Angel." Someone repeated.

'What's wrong with me? I do I care for the troupe members, but it's strange given our past.'

"Angel!" I looked up to see Killua, Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika standing over me.

"Yeah, what's up?" I asked them.

"The second phase is about to start Angel. We're about to go in." Gon told me in his cheerful voice. I smiled at him and ruffled his hair before standing up and following the group.

When we entered the 2nd phase, there were gourmet chefs there to tell us what our next task is. "Today's required ingredient will be pork."

"Pork? You mean like pig meat?" Some guy yelled out.

'Pork? Pig?'

We headed to the forest and began looking for the meat. I walked up to Kurapika as we were searching. "Hey... Kurapika?"

"Yes Angel? What is it?" He asked politely.

"Pork. What is it? Actually I don't know what a pig even is." I pressed my index fingers together and let out a nervous laugh.

I didn't hear an answer right away so I looked up to see a baffled blondie. "Y-you're only joking, right?"

"Sadly I'm not." I looked down in defeat. "On my island back home, we didn't have pigs and we never trade with other countries for meats so I have no idea what it even looks like. I haven't lived here long enough to know."

He smiled at me and explained what a pig looks like. "Also pork is what you make bacon, sausage, and ham out of."

"Thanks Kurapika! I appreciate it. I never knew that." We continued looking around. "So why do you want to be a hunter? I haven't asked you yet."

He went silent for a minute before answering my question. "I'm going to avenge my clan. I will kill the phantom troupe and take back the eyes of my people." His reasoning sent chills down my spine. Sometimes I forget how dangerous my friends are and I forget how much bad they have actually done.

What will happen if Kurapika finds out I'm a member of the phantom troupe?! Will he kill me too? And what about him? He wouldn't last a minute against them!'

"I'm sorry about your clan Kura, that must be difficult to deal with." My eyes started watering. I remember the pain of losing my own clan, it still hurts.

"It's fine-" He looked up to see my wet eyes. "Is everything alright?"

"Yeah. Just fine. I think some pork got into my eye is all." I wiped my eyes quickly and continued to search for the animal. Instead I found Gon sliding down a hill. "Ha ha! Let's go Kura!" I pulled on his arm and he slide down the hill behind me. Gon came to a sudden halt making Killua crash into him, Leorio into Killua, me into Leorio, and Kurapika into me.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Shouted Killua.

"I found 'em." Responds Gon.

"Pigs!" Leorio confirms. One of these so-called pigs was chewing on bones of another animal. "They're all... chewing on bones..."

"Don't tell me... they're carnivores?" The pigs notices we were there and lunged at us.

"Kurapika! When you described a pig to me, you left out one HUGE detail!" I shouted at the blonde boy as we ran.
