Angel's POV

I've been performing at The Pink Ladies for about a month now. I've come to work every day they've been open since I began working. Parker and I have performed together every weekend and it has been a lot of fun! Some of the customers can be sneaky but that's nothing that I can't handle. Being a dancer is very educational and it's made me more flexible. My fighting style has improved now because I learned how to move with ease and purpose.

(A/N: idk why I made the story go this way but I guess I just have to roll with it now)

Most mornings Parker and I eat breakfast together at this really cozy coffee shop and then we work at a book store together during the day. Turns out that she is dancing for extra money too. She's struggling with rent some so she's been staying with me for a bit.

At night, she usually goes home to rest while I work. I wear large white wings when I dance so no one can see my spider tattoo and somehow it has worked. Although, my hip tattoo is exposed due to the white bodysuit I wear.

"I think you should wear this, Angel." Parker and I were shopping for a dress. I have the YorkNew auction tonight so I need some formal wear.

"Really? You don't think it's too much for me?" I studied the black dress she picked out. It touches the floor and it's elegant and hugs my curves on the top half of my body and flares out on the bottom. It has black sparkles that decorate every inch of it.

"Of course it's not too much. You look beautiful!" Her green eyes sparkled. "But... It's a bit small, huh?" I looked back in the mirror and nodded my head. "Excuse me miss," Parker called over a store clerk. "Do you have a larger size for this dress?"

"Let me check." A few minutes later the girl came back. "I'm sorry but that's our last one."

"That's fine." I called to her.

"Well now what are we supposed to do? That one is the best by far!"

"We do this," I relaxed my body and focused on the places the dress was tight on. I contracted my muscles and fat, allowing the dress to fit the way it's supposed to.

"Woah! That's incredible!" I giggled at her astonishment.

"Come on let's go pay for the dress and get a shawl too. I need something to cover my back."

"Yeah okay. We don't want to give those auction goers too much of a show." Parker is surprisingly modest when it comes to outfits and her daily clothing. She likes her dancing job but would prefer to do something else with her time.

We paid for my dress and matching cover-up. We headed home so I could get ready.

I felt something in my chest. 'Boss is close. I wonder why he's here.'

Parker did my hair while I focused on my makeup.

"Remember: you're going to meet up with Jake. He comes into our work a lot so I'm sure you've seen him before. Anyway, he's the only person I know, besides you, who's got a ticket into this place. I want you to stay with him since he's at least familiar."

She tried really hard not to get any of the hair dye she's using on me. "Okay. I really wish you could come Parker. It would be so fun, ya know!" I flashed her a smile.

She fluffed her short brown hair. "I know; I'm amazing. Try not to miss me too bad."

"Haha! Alright, I should probably get going now." I looked at my dinging phone. A text from Jake popped up. "Right on time too. Jake's here." She gave me a hug and complimented me before I walked out of our hotel room.
