Chapter 15

Phinks' POV

Feitan and I got ahold of Shal after we got to an international airport. We called him and told him to find Angel's location as fast as possible and he did. In half an hour he called us back.

"I pulled up some security footage from the airport Angel said she would be leaving the base from. The rest is from cameras around the city she landed in." Shal happily informed us but anyone who knows him could tell that he was talking faster than usual. He's worried.

"Okay great. Tell us what happened."

"Okay! She first gets here and flips a coin to pick which city she goes to and then after that she bought a ticket for the flight."

"Yeah, okay. But what was the flight she boarded?" I was trying to figure out which destination I should buy a ticket for.

"If I tell you now, you'll hang up and run off to get on the next flight there." I clicked my tongue and continued to listen to his summary of events. Feitan stepped closer to the phone so he could hear clearly too. "She lands and checks into a very nice hotel in the area and soon after goes sightseeing and shopping. When she finished shopping it looks like she was going back to her hotel. I'm assuming that's when you called her. She stops and talks on the phone for a bit. She looks.. happy. Angel dodges out of the way of something that isn't visible on the screen. Her hair was cut in the back and she starts screaming. He kicks her around a bit before he finally stops. She makes a move for her phone but he steps on it moments later. That's most likely the reason why you couldn't reach her afterwards."

I'm furious. 'There was no reason for the nen master to go as far as he did. There was no reason for him to make her cry like that!' I was pulled out of my thoughts when I felt Feitan's bloodlust shoot up. I look at him and he seems even more livid than I am.

"Moving on... they talk for a while, Angel recovers her license, and the nen master carries her back to her hotel." Shal finishes.

'WHAT?! I give her money for a hotel and she invites him over?!'

"What was that?" Feitan asks in a hostile tone.

"He takes her home. He didn't leave until this morning when he and Angel went to the phone store. She's probably going to call yo-"

"What do you mean 'he took her home and he didn't leave?!'" I couldn't believe what Shal was saying.

"I can send you the videos if you want me to but it'll take a while." We agreed. We couldn't believe it until we saw it with our own eyes.

A couple of hours later, Shal sends us the video clips of Angel getting beaten, picked up, and taken home. And it happened exactly like Shal said it did!

"Angel is too ignorant for her own good." Feitan's words were still icy. He was probably more upset now than when we had the information relayed back to us. "I'll kill her." He said as he eyed the man she was with.

I received a call on my phone.

Angel's POV

Oliver and I woke up very early this morning. He was actually sleeping in a chair next to my bed. I guess he moved there last night.

I got dressed in a baggy yellow shirt and jeans and Oliver wore what he had on the day before because I didn't have any clothes for him.

"Hey Angel?"

"Yeah?" I muttered past my toothbrush.

Oliver rubbed the back of his head. "Are you okay?"

"...what do you mean, Ollie?" The nen master looked away.
