Hisoka and I went on a trip to get back home. In total, it took us about 3 days to get to Meteor City. "So why was I supposed to come home right now?" Hisoka wasn't paying attention. We continued to walk up to the house and I was becoming more and more uneasy.
'Why won't he tell me what's going on? Did I do something? Do they need me for an upcoming mission?'
I opened up the front door. "Hey! I'm home!" I didn't receive an answer and no one came to greet me at the door. That's something that Paku and Franklin always tries doing when they are home. I felt like I was being watched. "Hey Hisoka... are you sure anyone is- Hisoka?!" The bastard left me! He just disappeared!
I put my backpack on the floor and walked through the house. I stopped by the kitchen, living room, the bathrooms, and dining I didn't bother looking inside of any rooms because the last time I did that, Feitan almost cut off my head.
"Um... hello?! Anyone home?" I walked to the backyard since it's the only place I haven't checked.
"Surprise!" All of my family was there, well, except for the boss, Kortopi, and Bono.
"What's going on?" My eyes wondered from the packaged snacks on the table to the sideways streamers and the adorable outfits most everyone was wearing.
"Well you passed the hunter exam right? We wanted to celebrate with you!" Shal cooed.
I ran up and hugged them all minus Feitan. He rushed off before I could even get close. I could tell what they were trying to do. The decorations looked similar to the ones that were strung from the houses at my island's last festival. The girls were wearing plain dresses and (most of) the guys were wearing floral shirts and khaki shorts. "Here," Machi handed me a white dance dress. "We picked one up for you too."
"Thanks!" I ran inside and quickly changed. When I came back out, the music was started. Everyone surrounded me and asked me about the exam. "But... Hisoka passed too."
Hisoka laughed. "Yes but I'm not as special."
The first part of the night was full of laughter and dancing. "So you want to keep your back straight and knees slightly bent while you roll your hips. Like this." I coached the girls how to hula dance. Shizuku did the exact opposite of what I said and she looked confused.
'She's forgotten again.'
"If you push your back out like that then you might look like a whore." Feitan snickered.
"Oh and what's so funny, shorty?"
He grunted and glared at me. "Nothing."
"Thought so." I was about to continue my short lesson when I noticed his outfit; he was wearing his normal clothes. "Why aren't you wearing the floral clothes, Fei?" I felt a little sad that he wasn't participating.
"Because this is stupid. Why celebrate something so trivial?"
My mood fell. For some reason Feitan's opinion and presence matters more to me than most of the other troupe members. "Oh. I'm sorry." I sat down and stared at the table. "You're right this party isn't necessary... it just made me so happy... I guess I'm just selfish, huh?" I put my head on the table and wallowed in sadness.
'I have never even thought to throw a party for the others. I don't even know when their birthdays are. How awful of a person can I be?'
"What the hell Feitan?!" Nobunaga yelled.
"Oh? Did I do something-" I started crying which cut off his sentence.
"Feitan! Look what you did! You made her cry!" Uvo seemed pissed.
