"Okay, now get in a crouch, keep your tail down and keep your movements quiet. Don't let anything distract you from the prey." Sky instructed to Cinder and Pebble. It was morning and Pebble and Cinder were training. Both of them got in a crouch, their tails down as their paws were quiet. "Good, now with most prey you can just pounce and bite their necks, but with rabbits you must try to pounce on it and if that doesn't work you chase after it and predict where it is going to go." Feather meowed, sitting next to sky. Pebble and Cinder nodded. "Now, pounce!" Feather meowed quickly. Pebble and Cinder pounced on the invisible prey. Pebble, landing on her paws into a crouch, looked at the ground as if she had caught the invisible prey. Cinder, rolling and slamming into an oak tree, growled. "Awsome, Pebble!" Feather purred at her apprentice while Sky was padding after Cinder. "Don't worry Cinder, you won't get it on the first try, it takes practice." She meowed, helping Cinder get to her paws again. Cinder felt embarrassed due to her fail.

Pebble made it seem so easy! I'll get it later, I know I will.

Cinder nodded to her mentor with a smile of determination. "Now, come on. Lets try again." Sky meowed. Cinder got in a crouch, Pebble did the same. "Stalk quietly." Feather meowed. Cinder would quickly stalk, her paws silent. Pebble did the same, maybe even better. "Now pounce!" Sky meowed. Pebble and Cinder pounced on the invisible prey. Pebble landed perfectly on her paws, crouching, as her tail swayed. Cinder landed on her paws, crouching , as her tail was low and not moving. "Good! Both of you. Pebble, I can tell you'll be a great tribe cat when you get done with your training. Hunting will be a breeze." Feather meowed, her eyes filled with pride.

Must she always compliment Pebble more than me? I did well too! Doesn't she notice that?

Sky, not responding to Feather's comment, looked up at the sky. It was day light. "Come on, that's enough for today." She meowed, turning, she padded. Cinder walked to her mentor till she was step by step with her, she looked up at her. "Why didn't you say nothing to Feather? You didn't even compliment me.." Cinder meowed. Sky kept her eyes forward. "You did good today Cinder, you do not need a cat to tell you did good to know you did good." Sky meowed, Cinder sighed. "Not every cat is going to compliment you on what you do good on, you just sometimes need to believe in yourself. Cinder, you did great, you learned something." Sky meowed, before racing towards camp. Cinder believed her, racing after her as Pebble and Feather did the same.

They padded inside camp, surprised to see every cat sitting down in front of the high rock. Swan Moon was sitting on the high rock, turning to Cinder, Pebble, Feather and Sky. "Good, you made it back. I have cancelled all patrols today due to something I must tell you." Swan Moon meowed. Cinder sat down in the crowd as Pebble sat beside Thrush. Feather and Sky sat beside each other. "As many of you know, there have been conflict between us and Oak Tribe over the past hours. Oak Tribe have falsely accused us of our tribe cats hunting on their side of the forest. They have been angered by us denying it, and due to this they want to invade our camp and fight." Swan Moon meowed, his voice loud. Loud meowed and gasped raised from the crowd of cats.

What? A war? Why would we ever hunt on their side of the forest when prey is plenty?

Cinder sighed, keeping her eyes on the leader. "They said if we kept on denying our cats have hunted on their side of the forest, they will invade tomorrow morning." Swan Moon meowed. "How we avoid this, I do not know. We cannot lie about what we did not do, so I urge you all to fight with honor and courage, not with anger. I urge you all to fight for what you know you did not do." Swan Moon meowed bravely. Yowls of agreement raised from the crowd. Suddenly, all the yowls fell silent as Puffin, the herb cat, ran up to Swan Moon. Cinder saw Puffin whisper in Swan Moon's ear something. Swan Moon nodded at her, jumping off the high rock. Puffin jumped on the high rock, getting every cat's attention. "I have important news, Moon Clan has spoken to me. They have given me a hint of the battle that will happen tomarrow morning! It is confusing, but it will help." Puffin meowed. Meows of questions raised from the crowd. "What is it?" Feather asked, "Tell us!" Another cat meowed. Puffin nodded. "Moon Clan said ; As battle strikes, the Clover shall break." She meow. Swan Moon jumped on the high rock, Puffing jumping off. "Clan Meeting dismissed." Swan Moon meowed.

The Clover? That's my mother's name, but what does it mean?

Sky padded up to Cinder. "Come on, for the rest of the morning till the end of the evening I'm going to teach you some battle moves. You'll need them because you're going to participate in the battle." Sky meowed, nudging her out the camp as Feather did the same with her apprentice.

I'm participating in battle?! Oh no!

"Only Cinder Can Stop The Darkness."

"When battle strikes, the Clover shall break."
