Two moons had passed, and now at last Cinder and her tribe-mates are going to the Meet-up. A Meet-up is where the three tribe's meet up and tell the latest news of what has happened in their tribe, share ideas sometimes and even vote on what to do or change in the forest. This was Cinder's first Meet-up, along with her sister. Branch and Pepper already had been to a Meet-Up moons ago, Meet-up's only happen every two full moons. It's kind of like waiting a whole month, then another month before going to the Meet-up. As Cinder padded through the forest and out their territory with her tribe-mates, deputy, and leader, she began to be in thought.

Star has not talked to me these whole two moons. Did Puffin do something to him? Was it Moon Clan? Does Moon Clan want us to be a part now? Does Star hate me now? Does he regret the time we spent that morning I couldn't sleep?

Cinder blinked out her thoughts as she let her gaze sweep the crowd of her tribe-mates. She looked for Star, she could see him on the outline of the crowd, beside Puffin. Puffin must be watching him closely now. It isn't fair, can't Cinder at least have some cat that understands her just as good as her mother did? Cinder let her head hang low as they padded past Oak Tribe territory.  She heard her lucky sister talking to Branch behind her. She raised her head and glanced at them with such envy, she wished she could just scoop up Pebble and take Branch for her own and magically change him into Star. She was sure when they become tribe-cats, they will be mates.

Why can't I talk to Star like that so freely and without worry of him being a treatment cat?

Cinder started to ignore her thoughts, Star was a treatment cat by destiny. Of course, it's fair. She mustn't think so foolishly. But if Star was destined so strongly by Moon Clan to be a treatment cat, why does she have such feeling for him? Is it Moon Clan that gave her these feelings? Maybe she chose the wrong cat to like so much, or maybe she missed her mother? Cinder shook her head as her thoughts began to roar in her mind like screaming owls at night. She stopped her paws. At the head of the crowd, Swan Moon, jumped on the long and wide fallen tree, it formed as a bridge to get to the Meet-up island. The island where Meet-up's are held. Two by two, tribe cats jumped on the tree bridge and padded to the island. When it was Cinder's turn, she jumped and let her claws dig into the tree bark. Her claws were steady as she padded on the tree. Below the tree was not water, the reason why the fallen tree held as a bridge was so no cat would fall off the tree and into the quick and water-like mud. If a cat were to fall inside, another cat would have to quickly get the cat before their whole body fell under. The quick and water-like mud served similar to water but still dangerous. The island on the other side and was solid and nicer. Cinder jumped off as she seen the nice and green clearing. Withered Leaves was coming soon. Cinder could tell by the cold air and breeze. She saw the other tribes in their groups. She sat down as Pepper sat down beside her. Once her tribe-mates got settled, Swan Moon clawed up a huge rock where the two other leaders of the other tribes sat on. He sat down. "The tall dark brown and kind of lanky she cat with green eyes is Mud Moon, she's the leader of Oak Tribe," Pepper whispered. Cinder nodded, looking at the tall and dark brown she-cat. "And the white and kind of chubby she-cat on the other side of Swan Star is Rose Moon, the leader of Breeze Tribe. I heard her clan eats lots of prey each day!" Pepper whispered.

Really? How careless must Breeze Tribe be, Withered Leaves will be terrible for them. For sure.

Cinder looked at the puffy and white she-cat, Rose Moon. The three leaders sat on the rock in a line as they all faced their clans, Swan Star in the middle. Once all three tribe's got settled and seated, Swan Star began. He got to his paws, his gaze was strong and determined. "Hello every cat, welcome to the Meet-up. In Waterfall Tribe things have gone well, we are still very strong even after the battle with Oak Clan. My tribe cats and trainees have fought well, I am sad to report that Clover has died from the battle." Swan Star meowed bravely, then glared at Mud Star. "Even though the code clearly states not to kill cats in battle." He meowed, his eyes narrowed. Mud Star met his gaze with a strong glare. "Do you think I told my tribe cats to kill Waterfall tribe's cats? I did not if your thinking of it, so don't dare, Swan Moon." Mud Star meowed. "Nonsense, your tribe cats killed one of my tribe cats." Swan Moon hissed. "If this is true, I shall punish my clan by myself and my deputy. Not by you." Mud Moon replied, staying calm but it was clear she disliked this. "Fine." Swan Moon hissed. "We have new apprentices, Cinder and Pebble. That is all." He meowed, sitting down. Cinder felt every cat's gaze on her before turning to the rock again. Mud Moon got up. "Oak Tribe is well after the battle, we have two new kits, Ivy and Amaryllis." Mud Moon meowed. Cinder looked around but saw no kits, only trainees and tribe cats. "Kits do not come to Meet-ups, they are too young if that's what you're searching for, Cinder." Pepper meowed, yawning. Cinder turned to her, then nodded in understanding.  "That is all," Mud Moon meowed, sitting down. Rose Moon nodded and got to her paws, her cloudy like fluffy fur in curls but neat. "I don't have anything to report." Rose Moon meowed, sitting down. Swan Moon nodded. "If that is all, the Meet-up is finished." Swan Moon said, getting to his paws as the other two leaders did the same. Swan Moon beckoned with his tail for his tribe to follow him. He leaped off the rock, padding to the exit. Cinder followed as her tribe-mates did the same.

When they had gotten back to camp, Cinder raced to Star who was following Puffin inside the treatment den. "Star! I haven't talked to you in a while. Is something wrong?" She meowed. Star turned, looking at her. Puffin, that was behind Star in the den, turned. Star sighed, then glanced at Puffin. "We can't talk anymore. I know I was just helping you but, I saw how you looked at me. We shouldn't really hang out like that anymore unless it's about healing you." He meowed, he tried his best to keep his face straight but Cinder noticed the pain in his eyes. Cinder glanced at Puffin then Star. How could she let him go easily? Who could she talk to freely besides him? Who could she have a shoulder to cry on? She did not just have feelings for him, she loved him.

I know it was just one night but, we must be together! I have the same feeling you have for me! I can not just ignore it and move on. It doesn't work like that!  You know it doesn't, Star! I know you do!

She bit back the words, gulping them down. If she had to lie to make sure Star and her still hangs out, that is what she will do! If he rejects her, she felt as if she could never love another cat like she loved him ever again.
She needed him. "T-there is nothing between us, we are just friends. We can still hang out, I-I don't understand why we must part our ways like this." Cinder meowed, her voice croaked a little due to the sadness she felt in her throat. Star shook his head. "Cinder, you don't understand. Me and Puffin sees where this is going and what it will lead to." Star meowed. She had to convince him. She needs to. "You don't understand me! I love you! You can't just throw that away like I'm an object!" She hissed loudly, her tribe-mates turned to see what was going on. Before she knew it, she was surrounded by cats, watching her. She did not care, he must believe her. She jerks her head forward to touch his muzzle with hers. "You love me, don't you? I know you do. I know we can find a way." Cinder meowed, tears starting to fall as she wanted to force her love on him, convince him she is the light in his life, she is what he needs. Herbs cannot compare. Not to her. "Cinder-" Puffin meowed but was interrupted by Cinder. "We will get through this. I know you feel the same!" Cinder meowed, desperately wanting him to believe her over Puffin. "Cinder no-" Star meowed but was interrupted by Cinder. Cats started hissing. "Y-You could quit being a treatment cat, then we'll be together!" She meowed. Puffin eyes turned to slits. Her tribe-mates went silent quickly. Star's eyes changed from soft to cold. So cold Cinder thought he would claw her. "Cinder, stop this!" He yelled at her, his teeth bearing in a snarl. "Don't you get it? We are nothing! I don't love you!"  He added as he was snarling. Cinder's eyes were wide, tears going down her cheeks as she felt her heart cracking, as if her love, respect, and care was for nothing. "But...I matter, don't I?" She meowed back. Star narrowed his eyes. "What makes you think I would betray my dreams, for you? A cat I can't even have?" He meowed. She stepped back. "I-" Cinder meowed but was interrupted by Star. "Just stop dreaming you'll have me, I'm not worth dreaming about." He hissed, then whipped around and padded inside the treatment den. Cinder looked around her, her heart beating as tears rolled down her face. Her tribe-mated, even her sister, we're looking at hermits narrowed eyes. Only Pepper looked at her with sympathy. All her clan mates eyes felt like claws raking down her side.
Did Moon Clan want this? For her to suffer endless amounts of pain but still save every cat?

Moon Clan, why? Why me? I just wanted to find comfort.

She couldn't take every cat's eyes. She pushed past Pebble and ran out of the camp. She raced into the woods, her paws guiding her. She did not know where she was going or why but she just wanted to escape from life. She raced till she felt her paw hit a branch and she stumbled. She rolled till her back hit a tree. She hisses as her paw was bleeding from the scratch. She didn't care anymore, she tucked her bleeding paw under her as she curled up. Closing her eyes as she wanted sleep to take her away. She slowly drifted to a sorrowful sleep. All she wanted to do was find comfort, some cat to talk to that will understand her-but even that drifted away and found its own way of clawing her heart in half as well.
