Cinder shrieked as she was falling in complete darkness. "Only Cinder Can Stop The Darkness! Only Cinder can save us!" Voices yelled and hissed around her. "Stop! Stop!" She yelled. Unfortunately, the voices kept shouting. "It is your destiny!" A voice shouted. "Moon Clan has given you this destiny! Follow it!" The voice yelled.
"Please! Stop! I can't do this!" Cinder yelled. Tears began to swell up in her eyes. How could Moon Clan expect her to keep going with the prophecy if she is already going through so much? She is only an trainee, why must Moon Clan do this? Cinder kept hearing the voices shout and echo but this time with more anger. They kept shouting, growling, and hissing at her.

Moon Clan, please let me find peace in my chaos that you are throwing at me! I need some cat to talk to!

Cinder hoped Moon Clan could hear her. She needed them to. She started to lose hope as she kept falling. Had Moon Clan heard her?  She felt the wind through her ears as she fell in the darkness like a never ending cycle.

They didn't hear me, did they? I know they didn't.

She closed her eyes as she waited for herself to wake up from this dream. Unexpectedly, she felt soft grass underneath her side, her nostrils filled with fresh air as she heard trees swish and sway with the soft wind.

Where am I?

She open her eyes, she was laying on her side. The grass below her was white, the trees around her were light pink, it's trunks a light brown, as the sky was night with stars and the moon shining above. She was in a forest! A dreamy forest it seemed. Cinder oddly felt safe and at peace here, not like the harsh world she must wake up to at all. She felt like she could be herself here. Cinder looked around, getting to her paws. She suddenly felt a cat approach her from behind. She turned around. To her surprise, she sees a beautiful and elegant glowing cat. It's fur was a soft blonde as it looked a little transparent, it's eyes a comforting light blue as the cat had a daisy on her head. "Hello, Cinder." The cat meowed. Cinder paused, looking  into the cat's blue eyes. There was something about the cat's eyes that made Cinder feel more safer than being in the dreamy forest, as if the cat's eyes were her home and she was welcomed to be herself more than ever. Cinder didn't realize she was only staring at the cat. "Huh? I'm sorry, uh hello!" Cinder meowed. "Who are you?" Cinder added. "My name is Eversky. I am a Moon Clan medicine cat." Eversky meowed. "Wait..why are you here? Why am I here?" Cinder asked. Everysky chuckled lightly, her striped tail high in the air. "I know this sounds plain but, Moon Clan has sent me here to be you friend." She meowed.

My friend? What?

Eversky must have noticed Cinder was confused. "I know, I know. It sounds awkward but, thats what I'm here for." Everysky pointed out. Cinder sighed, sitting down. She did need a cat to talk to but what if they drift away from her too? Cinder looked at her paws in doubt. How could she trust another cat after her trust has already been wasted by many cats already? Everysky looked at Cinder, her eyes shown sympathy. "Look, Cinder, I seen what you've been through. Trust me, every cat in Moon Clan seen what you've gone through. Moon Clan has not lost trust in you, so please don't lose trust in us." Everysky meowed, sitting beside Cinder as she let her nose touch Cinder's lowered head. "I'm here for you now. There's no need to hide." She meowed softly. "How can you say that when you know nothing about me? You've seen what I've been through but do you really know me enough to say you are here for me?" Cinder meowed, pushing Eversky away as she got to her paws. Everysky got to her paws, facing Cinder with a firm gaze. "Cinder." Eversky meowed. "How can I trust you? How can I ever trust a cat again?" Cinder meowed.

"Cinder-"

"No! Just stop! Shut up, okay? I don't need you. Moon Clan clearly stated that by how they took every cat I trusted away from me! Just go away!" Cinder meowed as her voice started to get louder and tears started to fall. Cinder's claws dug into the soft ground, her tail lashing with anger and sorrow. "I can't trust anyone, I can't love anyone, I can't even cry in front of anyone. What's the point?!" Cinder hissed at Eversky.

How could you ever understand me?

Eversky only looked at Cinder with a firm gaze. Eversky closed her eyes. "I might not fully understand what you've gone through, or who you are but lashing out at me won't help you. Moon Clan sent me to be your friend, not your enemy. I was sent here to help you, guide you, let you be able to be yourself and be honest. I know you have a good heart but if all you are going to do is yell at me then I really don't have business to be here." Eversky meowed in a steady voice. Cinder stopped lashing her tail as she looked at Eversky. Eversky's expression wasn't mad, or judgmental at all. Before Cinder could reply, Eversky turned her back on her, padding away. Cinder looked as Eversky padded away into the ferns. Cinder slowly started to feel her anger turn into longing for Eversky to comfort her, guide her and be there for her.

All you wanted was to be my friend, and I pushed you away like the others did to me. How could I ever make the right choices when those that want to help me I keep pushing away?

Cinder felt like she had lost something very important. "E-Eversky! Wait!" Cinder called, racing after Eversky as she pushed through the bushes. She dodged the trees as she saw Eversky a few lengths away. She had to get to her. She must. Suddenly, Eversky broke into a run.

Why are you running away from me? Stop! Please!

Cinder kept running after Eversky, the trees were only blurrs as she raced past them like lighting. "Eversky! Stop!" She called, but Eversky kept running. Cinder felt more tears swell in her eyes. "I didn't mean it! Please don't leave me!" Cinder called as she raced after her, she could feel her energy burning out. Eversky looked back at her as she ran, she smiled softly.

"I know you didn't mean it." She meowed, her soft eyes gazing right into Cinder's.

"If you know that I don't mean it, why won't you stop running? I need you!" Cinder called. Eversky only looked forward as she ran faster. Cinder started to feel her paws get heavy as she stopped running unable to control it.

No..stop! I must reach her!

Cinder stared at the soft grass as she let her body fall to the ground. Her eyes beginning to get sleepy as she felt her vision blurry. She saw Eversky run through the ferns, leaving her. Too tired to do anything about it, Cinder closed her eyes.

Cinder woke up to cold and thundering rain. Cinder could tell it was morning as she felt pain in her paw. She winced at the pain as she felt cold. Her fur was soaked to the skin.

Why couldn't I have picked a better place to sleep rather than under a tree?

Cinder sighed as she got to her paws. She didn't want to face the judgement of her tribemates but she had to. The tribe was her home. She padded back to camp through the thundering rain.

I wonder if Eversky and Moon Clan is watching over me? Did Eversky forgive me?

Cinder wondered, she sighed as she was halfway to camp.

"Only Cinder can stop the darkness."
