"Cmon' Sequoia!"

Acacia called, her black fur fitting in perfectly with the darkness of the nursery. Acacia turned to the exit of the nursery, seeing the night sky. Acacia's green eyes sparkled with determination as she gazed around the camp of her tribe. Breeze Tribe is the best tribe ever! Acacia thought confidently. "I'm here!" Sequoia mewed before sitting next to her sister. "Isn't the night beautiful?" Acacia asked, glancing at her sister. "Yeah, I guess." Sequoia shrugged, her grey with black stripes tabby fur seemed soft. "I wonder what it's like being up there, to fly, and all." Acacia wondered. She imagined herself flying, soaring through the night sky, the stars greeting her with their light, and the moon guiding her to Moon Clan. "To fly? That's pretty boring." Sequoia snorted. "Hey!" She hissed, before batting her playfully. Sequoia took several steps back to avoid being hit by her sister. "Flying doesn't seem all that swell." She mewed,  her head held high. "You don't seem that swell, ha ha!" Acacia meowed. "Really? Bet ya' can't catch me." Sequoia teased, before running around inside the nursery, careful not to step on any of the queens, and kits tails. "Hey!" Acacia meowed, before chasing after her sister. "Acacia! Sequoia!" Acacia stopped in her tracks as she heard her mother's voice, Rose Moon. Rose Moon is the leader of Breeze Tribe, the white fluffy plump she was courageous, but also a great mother. Rose Moon stood at the entrance of the den. Rose Moon hissed, picking up the kits. She set them down in the moss beside the wall of the nursery. "Why are you two up at this time of night?" She asked, cleaning their pelts. Acacia gulped, looking at Sequoia. "We were...uh, catching prey!" "Catching prey?" Rose Moon gasped at the thought of the kits going out of camp. "That is mouse brained. Even for you, Acacia." Acacia flinched at her name as Rose Moon scolded her. Surely I can have some fun sometimes, too? "Now, Go to sleep. You know how hard it is for me being leader, and taking care of kits." Rose Moon meowed. Acacia huffed, but did as she was told. Her sister as already curled up in a ball, ready for sleep. Rose Moon looked at Acacia expectantly. "Acacia, sleep, now." She meowed. Acacia huffed once more, before curling up, and falling asleep, next to her sleeping sister.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Sequoia opened her eyes to a familiar cat's voice. She blinked, she was in a forest. It was still night, the stars looming over head. "This was never meant to happen!" She heard the familiar cat's voice once more. She saw a flash of grey fur race past her. The cat seemed to not notice her. Sequoia blinked, confused as to why she was here. "Hello?" She meowed, before running after the grey she-cat. She surprisingly was running at a very fast pace for her age. "Who are you?" Sequoia asked. To her surprise, the cat just kept running. Could the cat even hear her? Did it even know she was there? Sequoia felt like she knew this cat, but she couldn't understand how or who this cat was. The cat had glowing green eyes, with a grey pelt. Sequoia stopped, watching the cat run off into a hole in the ground. "Wait- ugh." She huffed. Was this a dream? If so, why would she dream about this? This was useless. "What am I even doing he-" Suddenly, she felt water fill her lungs as darkness hit her sight.  Her eyes burned as if she was in water. She felt the rush of water sweep her off her paws mercilessly. She coughed, opening her eyes to a endless sea of water. "Mom!" She called, her voice scratchy from the water. Suddenly, she saw the grey she-cat again. The she-cat was ahead of her as she tried to catch her. Sequoia felt the coldness of the water almost freeze her bones. Suddenly, she felt a breeze pick her up from the water, making her float into the air. "Don't worry, Sequoia, I am here." She heard a voice in the breeze as she floated into the clouds.  "You have a gift like no other." The voice meowed, as the breeze softened. Sequoia looked around, wondering where the voice was coming from. All around her now was just stars, and the pitch black night sky. "Me?" She asked, confused. "Yes, of course you." The voice chuckled. Sequoia started to smile, she might not know what this cat means by that, but she does know that she is something special. "I have a gift?" She asked, smiling more. She suddenly felt a pang of regret, how could she be so selfish? "Does Acacia, my sister have a gift also?" She asked. Surely if she has a gift, Acacia has to have one too as well. After all, they are related. It would only be fair. "Acacia hasn't had her gift yet," the voice meowed softly, "but you, Sequoia, earned this beautiful gift." The voice meowed. Sequoia's eyes widen with awe. "What's the gift?" She asked, excitedly.

"You can see cat's past, dear." The voice answered.  "Whoa, really?!" She asked, amazed. "Yes, now-" Suddenly, Sequoia felt something shake her. Suddenly, she felt as if she was falling. "What's happening?" She yelled, shock, and fear going through her.

"Ha! I caught you Oak!" Acacia meowed, pinning Oak down by falling on him. "Hey, no fair!" Oak meowed. Acacia liked Oak a lot, he was a dark ginger tabby tom with orange eyes. Unlike the other kits besides her sister, he didn't tease her for being the leader's daughter. "Get off of me, you crow biter!" He hissed, managing to roll Acacia off. She landed on her paws, a smug smirk on her face. "You're a horrible fighter." She meowed. "No, I'm no-"  "No!" Suddenly, Acacia heard her sister scream. She whipped around, her sister was sleeping next to the stone wall in the nursery. She rushed to her. "Sequoia?" She meowed, "What's wrong?" She asked. Sequoia opened her eyes, her claws digging into the dirt. Did she have a bad dream? Acacia worried deeply for Sequoia, maybe she was having bad nightmares. She silently wished Rose Moon was here, she would know what to do. "I-I..." Sequoia stared at her paws, bewildered. She then glanced nervously at Acacia for a couple of seconds. Acacia could see there was something wrong, something was terrifying her sister. "It was nothing...just a nightmare." Sequoia replied, calming down. Acacia could sense that something was wrong. Sequoia just wouldn't tell her. Acacia shrugged, if Sequoia wouldn't tell her, then it must not be that bad. "Well, tell us if you need anything then." She meowed. "Okay..." Sequoia replied. Acacia padded out of the den, Oak waiting outside the den for her. She was going to jump on Oak playfully when suddenly she felt a icy cold breeze brush her fur. Huh? "The stars shall die by Cinder, as a new life awakes, and the truth is revealed..." The breeze whispered in her ear as it brushed past her. Acacia looked around, wondering if any other cat felt or heard that. "Did you hear that, Oak?" She asked. Oak blinked, shrugging. "Hear what?" He asked. Acacia blinked, confused. She turned her head, looking at her sister laying in the nursery. Sequoia was looking at her, her eyes wide. Within seconds, Acacia understood. Sequoia knew something she didn't know.

She's hiding something!
