It had been a couple of days since Cinder had found out her sister had gone missing with Thrush. Cinder blinked as she looked at the sun, its rays warming her fur. Cinder laying on her side in the middle of the camp. So far, Cinder's days have been quiet good. Though, she missed her kits than ever. Along with her sister as well. Though, the past still lingered, the death of Star- the fact that she killed him. Did he want her to see what a monster she was? Is she really wicked? She sighed, getting to her paws. Suddenly, she felt a bunch of cats shove and sit beside her. It was her tribe mates. "What's going on?" She meowed. "Swan Moon is calling a meeting." Silver, a silver she  cat with blue eyes, meowed.

Cinder blinked as she saw Swan Moon on the high rock. As every cat took their seats, Swan Moon stood.

"I'm sure many of you know, Pebble and Thrush have gone missing. And it's causing a fuss with the other tribes. Though, the news I'm about to tell you might frighten you, but stay calm." Swan Moon meowed. Cinder tilted her head.

Frighten us?

"Last night, me and the other tribe leaders met up. They gave me the news that Pebble and Thrush are indeed starting a new group of cats. This is the main reason why I didn't send out a searching party for them, I believe they are off our territory." Swan Moon meowed. "Though, something disturbed me, the other tribe leaders feared that with this new group of cats might come battle, we all know that we can't share anymore territory." Swan Moon added.

Battle? This can't be true, why would my sister want to start a group?!

Swan Moon glanced at Cinder. "I also have another announcement. If there is battle, we will need a deputy on our side. I have not chosen a deputy in a long time due to me still looking for the right cat, but now I realize she is here." Swan Moon meowed. Ever cat looked at each other, wondering who the deputy would be. "Step up, Cinder." Swan Moon meowed. Cinder's eyes went wide, her being deputy?! No way! Was she really cut out to be deputy? Maybe Swan Moon should have picked some cat else. A less complicated cat than her!

Cinder padded up in front of the high rock as she looked up at Swan Moon. Swan Moon smiled, nodding with pride. "I'm proud to name you deputy, Cinder, given with all you have been through, losing kits, and your sister, you still stand here today. From this moment forward, you are deputy, and one day, might be leader." Swan Moon meowed. Cinder couldn't believe this was happening, she smiled, looking at Swan Moon. She then dipped her head. "I'm honestly honored to have such an important role, thank you. We will succeed!" Cinder meowed, her voice ranged across the clearing as cats meowed their agreements with her.
"That is all for today, every cat, remember, be ready." Swan Moon meowed before leaping off the rock. Cinder leaped off as well, landing on her paws. She was surprised that the leader knew about her losing kits. Did Puffin reveal her secret?

She padded inside the medicine den, poking her head through the ferns. "Puffin?" She asked, Puffin was sorting out herbs. "How did the clan leader know about my kits?" She asked. She turned. "Don't worry, I only told Swan Moon that your kits had died. Not who was the father." She replied. Though Puffin gave her an answer to her question, it seemed as if she was distant. What was going on in Puffin's mind? "Puffin, what's going on?" She asked. Puffin looked at her, before smiling. "Nothing...just so proud of you." She answered, but she could tell that wasn't all there was to it. "Is there something you're not telling me?" Cinder asked. Puffin sighed, "I can't hide anything from you, can I?"                                                                                                                                      Cinder shook her head. Puffin rose to her paws. "Well, to my own surprise, this morning the leader told me that she...she's dying." Puffin meowed. "What?!" Cinder gasped. "Yeah, she's on her last life, Cinder." She meowed. Cinder's claws dug into the ground. The clan leader can't be dying! I was only just appointed deputy!  She felt as if a wave of emotion, and responsibility would wash her away into it's cold depths. Her ears flatten as the news echoed in her mind. Somehow, Cinder managed to say something through her shock. "H-how long do you suppose she will live?" Cinder blinked, her eyes wide. Puffin sighed, "A few days? Maybe a moon?"                 Cinder could not help, but to gasp at the shocking information Puffin was giving to her. Suddenly, a though rose from her mind, clear as day. Why is she only telling me? Why does she trust me so much? Even after I killed her own apprentice. What does Puffin think Cinder can do to save the leader? Cinder hoped with all her heart what Puffin had revealed wasn't true. She respected the leader a lot, and if she were to leave, the responsibility of every cat's lives would depend on her. How could she handle that? Especially with my sister gone to make some evil group..  "Cinder, do you think you're ready?" Puffin's voice knocked Cinder out her thoughts. Cinder didn't bother to respond, she was shaking in her fur. Why does her life seem so hard? First the prophecy, then Star, then her kits, then her sister, and now the clan leader. How could she possibly deal with all of this? Cinder knew how hard it is to be a prophecy cat, but so far, she felt as if Moon Clan was just making her suffer without reason. "Cinder, answer me." Puffin urged desperately. Cinder stared at the ground, her claws flexing. Though all her thoughts were swirling around her head, she still couldn't understand why Puffin trusted her so much. She understood that a Treatment cat was supposed to be kind, and helpful to prophecy cats, and leaders, but the wave of emotion that came from Puffin was so strong that it reminded her of her own mother. Puffin had the same emotion for her as her mother. As if identical. "Puffin, I have to go." Cinder meowed. "Cinder, no. Stay." Puffin urged. "No, I need to leave." Cinder meowed. All she wanted to do was leave from this place. Leave from the drama. Leave from the lies. She didn't want every cat's lives on her. She didn't want to make serious decisions  that would effect every-cat. Cinder pushed through the entranced, ignoring Puffin's calls.

Cinder woke up in the middle of the night, her sleep was rough, and rather cold. She blinked open her eyes, looking around. Every cat was asleep. Cinder raised to her paws, padding out of the den quietly. She didn't care how careless, and mouse brained it sounded, she was going to leave the tribes. She wanted to escape the prophecy, more, and more questions just keep pilling  up after another. She must have been a fool to ever think Moon Clan had her back. She padded out of camp, making sure no-cat caught her.

Her green eyes glowed through the dark woods. She padded onward, her tail lashing slightly. She had no idea where she was going, or how, but she just knew that she had to leave. "Cinder." She suddenly heard Everysky's voice behind her. "Cinder, where are you going?" She asked. Cinder turned around, seeing the she-cat. "Doesn't matter. I'm leaving." She replied, her pupils turning into slits. "Cinder, you can't leave. Moon Clan, and your tribe need you desperately." Eversky urged in shock. "Maybe we can think this through, Cinder." She meowed. "Think this through? You can't just make logic out of my situation, Eversky!" Cinder snapped.  Eversky blinked,"I know, but you-" Cinder interrupted her. "I said I'm leaving, that's it." Cinder snapped. "Cinder, your tribe needs you, your sister needs you. I need you. If you just abandon us, you'll be no better than Star." She hissed. Cinder's eyes widen, anger bubbling inside her like a volcano ready to erupt. "Star?" She echoed, her claws sliding out. Without another word, Cinder pounced on the starry she-cat. She managed to pin Eversky to the ground, her claws on her neck. "I was never better than Star!" Cinder hissed, her claws beginning to dig into Eversky's neck. Eversky looked at her with shock. "Everywhere I go cats always need me. In the end, I'm the one that has to suffer!" Cinder snapped. Eversky did not say even a single word, she just stared at Cinder with shock, and hurt. "Can't you see, Eversky? I was never meant to have this prophecy, Moon Clan chose the wrong cat. I'm a murder, and I always will be no matter what I do." She meowed, her eyes becoming glossy from tears. "C-cinder, stop." Eversky managed to meow. Cinder let her claws slide deeper into the she-cat's neck. "I killed a cat before," She meowed, her eyes dark, yet not with guilt. "And I can do it again!" She hissed, her claws sliding deeper. Eversky desperately tried to get out of Cinder's grip, but she knew if she moved, Cinder's claws would surely rake down her neck. Cinder slowly let her claws rake down Eversky's neck, starry blood leaking out. "Cinder?" Cinder stopped, hearing a familiar voice behind her. Cinder whipped around to see..

Mom?

Cinder froze, staring at Clover. Clover's starry pelt glowing through the darkness of the forest. "Mom?" Cinder asked, her eyes wide. Cinder longed to curl up beside Clover, and be in her mother's embrace. But now, she knew that that will never happen after what she has done to Eversky. Clover didn't bother to respond, she only shoved Cinder aside as she padded over to Eversky. Clover gave a sympatic look at Eversky. Cinder watched, she couldn't believe what she had did. She felt tears run down her cheeks, as she watched Clover pick up Eversky. "Mom, I-I'm sorry...I'm so sorry!" Cinder meowed. Clover didn't turn around to her, she only flicked her tail. "Sorry will not make Moon Clan trust you. You have betrayed your ancestors, and your tribe." Clover meowed. "Sorry won't heal the wounds of the past." She added, before vanishing with Eversky. Cinder stared, her paws no longer had blood on it. I'm a complete monster. Without another word, Cinder raced through the forest blindly. She didn't care where she would end up, she just wanted everything to end.

"The stars shall die by Cinder, as a new life awakes and the truth is revealed!"

"Only Cinder Can Stop The Darkness."
