"Thanks for coming." Jin said as he opened the door.
"Of course." Namjoon said stepping in Jin's luxurious house. He took a look around and was amazed.
This was against the rules and he would've never done this if it wasn't Jin himself. As he was looking around he saw two whiskey cups on his table.
"Was anyone here?" Namjoon wondered. Could it have been his fiancée?
Jin sat on the couch and groaned. Namjoon slowly sat next to him. "No one important," he commented closing his eyes.
"It must've been extremely important if you asked me to come over afterwards."
"It was my dad."
"Okay, and what happened?"
"I told him I was bisexual."
Namjoon's eyes widen, "Oh. I'm proud of you for telling him! That's good news!"
"He didn't take it too well."
"What did he say?"
Jin finally opened his eyes. He kept them focused on the ceiling above him. Namjoon laid his head back and looked above.
"He didn't take it so well. Said I couldn't call off the marriage with, Jisoo. That it was a good investment for our name and our company."
"He doesn't care about your happiness?" Namjoon asked. He certainly wasn't a father but he would imagine that as a parent all you would care about was your child's happiness.
"Apparently not." Jin quietly said.
"What else did he say?"
"He doesn't want me to evoke bisexual feelings."
"Evoke? What the fuck? You don't evoke feelings it's part of who you are!" Namjoon said his ears getting hot from anger.
"Yeah, he doesn't get that." Jin calmly said.
"Why are you so calm? Jin, the way he's acting is so fucked up." He said sitting up.
Jin remained on his spot still looking up at the ceiling. "Mhmm, it sure is fucked up."
"We need to do something about it. You can't marry Jisoo just because she's rich and has money! I will talk to your dad. Let me talk to him. I will make him understand that you can't help who you fall for and that—"
"He won't understand, Namjoon. It's pointless."
"But I can make him understand!"
"He didn't listen to his own blood, why would he listen to you?"
Namjoon sighed, Jin was right. If his father didn't listen to him what would be the outcome of his confrontation?
Jin pulled out his phone and typed something up. He then handed it to Namjoon.
"What's this?"
"He suggested that I go to this camp. Said it would change me and straighten me up."
Namjoon squinted his eyes as he took the phone. He started reading the website and he was instantly nauseated.
"Change for the better! We will cleanse you and remove your sins! You will no longer be sick! Join us today for a better life!"
"A gay conversion camp?" Namjoon asked his stomach clenching.
"Yeah."
"I didn't even know these existed...our world is sick."
"Oh they do exist. After he left I google them and they're very much real. I read about the experience and everything. They were all tortured for liking a certain gender. How is that human? Why is it so wrong to like the same sex? At first I was angry at him for even suggesting that. It's not like he cares about my sexual orientation he just doesn't want me to mess his business up. Then, I felt extremely sad. Why is the business more important than me? I've been wondering since he stepped out the door."
Namjoon laid beside him again. Jin turned to face him and Namjoon rested his forehead against his.
"Your father is consumed in his neediness for money. He's become greedy and hungry for more. It's so sad that a piece of paper controls humans. How does money affect people like it's poetry?"
"I wish people would understand me like you do." Jin whispered.
Namjoon reached over and took Jin's hand in his own. "I really hope I can always, always, be a part of your life, you know?"
Jin smiled, "Always a long, long, time."
"With you it's not enough. An eternity by your side isn't a enough."
Jin snorted with a pink tint spreading across his face, "You are reading a lot of poetry aren't you?"
"Yes, but you're the one that makes me poetic. You know what's crazy?"
"What?" Jin wondered.
"The world has existed for billions of years, there has been many centuries, many lifetimes and our times collided. How sweet is that?"
"How are you so confident about your sexuality and feelings?" Jin asked. He always pretend to be confident and like nothing faced him. Namjoon was fearless compared to him.
"I've learned the meaning of self love. You can't be confident without loving and accepting yourself first."
"But you read it on the website, they say we're sick and that we're sinners." He whispered almost ashamed.
Namjoon gulped keeping eye contact with him, "If being in love with you makes me sick then I don't ever want to be cured."
