Desk

Today I was in writing and I was very stressed, I was finishing my essay and Nora was telling me to hurry because Grayson came in the next class but I just took my time. She left and I was finishing up. Like 20 seconds later I finished so I stood up quickly and pushed my desk like a foot away.

    " Whoa trying to kill me?" Said Grayson.

    I tried not to blush so I acted normally," Guess I'll have to try again,"  I said before I left. I think that was ok but I don't know if it seemed flirty!!

    It took me until my next class to get my heart to stop beating. Then I bumped into someone.

     I felt my lip crash with my binder and my whole body went into the lockers.  Then I landed sitting down on the floor.

    " Oh God I'm so sorry!!"

     " It's ok I'm fine," I said while standing up. " Oh it's you Josef,"

    " Yeah sorry....'' he apologized.

     " It's ok," I walked into class and we went in at the same time.

      " You go," we both said then I walked into but so did he so we just squeezed into the door. I awkwardly walked to my seat.

     I replayed the moment with Grayson over and over in my mind.

     Imagination

     " I like you April,"

      " Really?"

     " I've always liked you."

     " I don't even know you? I don't know what your favorite color is?"

      " What can I do to get you to like me back?"

    " I don't think that would be too hard"

     He leaned in but I backed away

      " April?"

      Real life

    " April!" Repeated my teacher. I flinched and shook my head.

     " Sorry," I whispered while handing her my homework.

     I looked down at my desk to hide my red cheeks but I saw Josef looking at me.

     He smiled and looked down then I did the same.

     I walked to lunch and I'm normally the last people but today I was first. The security guy spoke," walk all the way down,"

    I followed his orders and walked in the line. I grabbed my paper plate and my sandwich. When I picked it up I topped in and my apple rolled to the floor and my sandwich spat on the ground.

    I blushed again and went to pick my sandwich and my apple but before I was able to grab it a hand got it before me.

     I looked and it was Grayson!!!

     "Shit!"

     " I believe this is yours?"

      I nodded and grabbed it from his open hand.

      I placed them on my plate again and silently walked over to the milk.

    " Wow you really don't speak at all do you?"

    " I do but I don't like to... But anyways thank you."

     " Why does it feel like that was the only sentence you've ever spoken?"

     " All I will say is it isn't."

    He chuckled and walked away. I sighed in relief and sat at my regular table.
 
     " Why did you talk with him," asked Nora while rolling her eyes.

      " It's not like I wanted to."

       " Sure," she grumbled.
