Road trip pt. 1

I smiled and clipped on my seatbelt.

  " I would love that."

  " Here we go!!" He cheered. I giggled at his behavior.

   We drove a bit and arrived at a gas station. While Andrew put some gas I went to get snacks.

   I wondered the aisles and picked out stuff that was both cheap and delicious. Chips, cookies, water, candy, nuts, juice, and other stuff.

   Of course I got Andrew's favorite stuff too.

   I payed and walked out of the small store.

  Andrew was already waiting in the car.

  " You took forever I was scared someone kidnaped you," he confessed with his eyebrows raised.

    " I'm fine but if it makes you feel better come in with me next time," I suggested.

  " Why were you scaredd," he teased.

    I rolled my eyes," No it seems you were more scared than me."

   " Pshh no," he obviously lied.
 
   " Sure ok."

   We started to drive, " What direction do we go to?" He asked.

   I shrugged," What if I spin you and wherever you stop that's the way we'll go?"

   " Wow you're smart, I like it," he said while pointing his finger at me.

    " Ok then let me spin you."

   " Hey hey no I'll spin you," he smirked.

  I hesitated, " Fine. "

  I covered my eyes as he spun me. Then I opened my eyes.

  " Well well were going north."

  I nodded as we climbed into the car again.

    " When are we going to stop?" I asked.

   " Hmmm," He thought," Maybe an hour after we get out of the city?"

   " Sounds good," I agreed.

   " Hey my radio doesn't work anymore," he said.

   " It's ok we can talk."

   He smiled," Did you miss me?"

   My eyes widened," What!?"

  " Hahah" he chuckled so deeply I died," I'm kidding."

   " Of course you were," I giggled," Hey let me show you the snacks."

  He clapped his hands before grabbing the wheel quickly.

  I took out gummies, chips, our water, juice, Oreos, chips ahoy.

   " No Oreos are better!!" I groaned.

  " Looks like your taste buds need surgery because Chips ahoy are wayyy better."

  I started laughing, " MY TASTE BUDS NEED SURGERY!?!?!!"

  I think I was dying because of how difficult it was to breathe.

   " Hey stop laughing!"

   " Sorry but it was so funny!!" I said while catching my breath.

    He didn't speak until I completely finished laughing.

   " Sorry sorry Andrew."

     " It's ok that was a really bad comeback."

   " It was," I smiled.

  He looked over at me and gave me a soft smile and returned his gaze to the  road.

    We opened the windows and let the sunset light flood into the car. The light breeze created by the movement of the car blew my hair.

    There were fewer and fewer cars the longer we drove.

    The later it got the colder it started to get. I think Andrew saw I was cold.

   " Want me to close the window?"

   " No it's ok, I'm fine."

   " No you're not stop lying, there's a hoodie in the back seat."

   " Thanks."

   I reached to the back and grabbed the black hoodie. It was so soft and cozy I immediately put it on.

   I tightened the straps in the hood until it was completely hugging my face. Then I rested my head on the seatbelt and looked outside.

    It was almost completely dark if it weren't for the car lights and the street light, but I stills couldn't see the stars.

    " Don't sleep alright," warned Andrew.

  " I'm still awake don't worry."
