I locked myself in my room for hours, playing music hoping they heard it. I was definitely speaking through my lyrics. I heard my door open slowly making me look up from my phone.

My father sat on my bed and patted my leg. I turned off the music not yet looking at him. I couldn't, he'd hurt my feelings, embarrassed me. I was a huge daddy's girl and this was a tough blow.

"Want to talk about earlier princess?"
I shook my head no in response.
"Fair enough, well look he is only trying to help. He even offered to be your therapist for free. He cares Sky and we shouldn't just throw that away because of god knows what. Tomorrow you guys are going out t-"
"Dad."

I gasped at his comment.

"Sky would you rather sit in this room for a week or go have fun with Keith? It's not like he's old. Your mother hired him in hopes that someone close to your age could ease you out of your shell."
"I'd rather stay in my room."
"Well I'm not giving you the choice. He'll be here tomorrow at noon. Be ready. I'll leave money on the kitchen counter. I love you princess. Get some sleep."
"Love you too dad."
"Don't be mad. Make the best of this. Make him take you to do what you want. Your chauffeur."

We laughed at that comment. He kissed my forehead before escaping the room.

Dad called me around 11 to assure that I was awake and getting ready for Keith's arrival. I planned to say I was sleep when he arrived but he made sure I wasn't. I rolled out of bed around 11:20 and found a cream tubes dress to wear. I washed my face and moisturized it once deciding that Keith was no one special so I had no reason to wear makeup. I finished up all the other hygienic things before hearing a knock on the door.

I checked my cable box seeing it was 12 on the dot. I groaned in annoyance.

"Damn you couldn't be a little late." I mumbled to myself as I jogged down the stairs

I opened the door with a nasty expression gracing my face. He didn't seem surprised. Like he was expecting it.

"I'm sorry about yesterday."
"Let's get this over with. My favorite show comes on at 5."

I rolled my eyes and threw my purse over my shoulder. I got in the backseat and immediately stuck my face in my phone.

"I don't think I deserve this treatment. What is it that I did that was so horrible?"

I glared up at him from my phone screen.

"You won't leave me alone. What's up with you?"
"I can't try to help?"
"Ugh. I wish everyone would stop summing it up to that. You trying to do more than help."
"I think I'm helping. You're speaking to me quite normally and you're letting me take you out."

I lowered my phone to my lap and thought about what was just said. I was talking to him normally. My anxiety isn't kicking in how it would with anyone else and I've only known Keith for 4 days. I was unusually comfortable. I sat quietly on my phone finding nothing else to say.

After a few minutes of silence and rummaging through my dry phone and photos I sighed in annoyance.

"Where are we going?"
"Could you cheer up? Just for today?"
"Keith. I don't understand you. Would your girlfriend approve of this?"
"Let's play a game. Tell me how you feel about me and I'll try to conform to your wants. I'm only here to help."

I peered at him with a confused expression.

"I feel like you're trying to be my friend but I keep rejecting that notion especially since yesterday. You blew up on me for no reason. I felt like you had a crush or whatever on me and you blew up so that could be because I cracked your code or you really don't like me. But you came after me and showed up to my parents house tattle telling on me so I think I cracked your code."
"What code is that?"
"Keith you like me."
"And?"

I was taken back by this. I didn't expect him to confirm my thinking.
