Although my first day was a complete let down I wasn't going to let it make everyday hard. I arrived early to work to prepare Mr. Cavill's coffee and make myself comfortable in my office.
"Good morning Mrs. Nicole." Claire greeted me but I ignored her We weren't friends and I damn sure wasn't going to fake it for the sake of community at work. What she pulled yesterday blew it for her with me. — I made sure Mr. Cavill's coffee was in his office a few minutes before he arrived. I didn't grab him a snack this time, if he was hungry he could get it himself. Going out of your way to be nice at this job gets you scolded so I'm going to do exactly what he says and nothing more.
I'll also be looking for another job. I don't feel secure here and I honestly don't feel like I belong. Everyone that I've seen in this building is white and not to mention my boss hates me. That might be a lot to conclude since I've only known the guy for one day but the way he speaks to me is despicable.
At 8 on the dot I heard him enter his office. Five minutes later I received an email.
Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet on the successes and weakness of the five companies listed below. Secondly set up a meeting with Hachito Industries for next Friday then you are dismissed.
Finally a task I could work with, it still wasn't challenging but it would take a bit of time.
— Three hours and a phone call later I was done. I wrote the details of the meeting down on a posted note and stuck it on top on one of the folders. I separated the five companies into five different folders labeled with each of their names.

I adjusted my outfit before walking into Mr. Cavill's office. He looked up at me from my boots to my face. No, I wasn't dressed professionally, I decided against it. When I was dressed professionally yesterday my body was seen as the means I used to acquire this job so forget it.
I placed the folders on his desk before turning to leave but he stopped me.
"Ms. Nicole, take a seat." He began going through the folders I placed on his desk. I was ready to go home so hopefully this wouldn't take long. "This meeting next Friday is big. I'm trying to buy Mr. Hachito's company. What can you tell me from this graph?"
"His company will be bankrupt by the end of 2019. His profits have tanked by 57.4% in the last 3 years and the purchase of his company would boost branch 3 of our company by 36% because Hachito is our number one competitor."
He seemed a bit shocked. "Where'd you go to school?"
"Ohio State."
"What'd you major in?"
"Computer science."
"Minor?"
"Communications, economics, and French."
"You're fairly new to California then?"
"Is all of this appropriate?" Mr. Cavill was asking too many questions and I wasn't going to give him any more fuel for him to judge me on. The exterior was obviously enough.
He cleared his throat. "Why are you dressed like this? This isn't the attire we wear while at work. Professional attire that fit us appropriately is what's worn here." He waved his hand towards me
"What do you mean appropriately?"
"Your clothes are far too tight, this is a business."
I was fuming with frustration. His comments and remarks were no where near professional but he had something to say about me not being professional.
I left his office and headed home. I wasn't changing the way I was dressed and I planned to leave this company within two weeks. — I spent around three hours at home applying to other companies, a few of which were the competitors of Mr. Cavill. This job was high end and would look great on my resume but I couldn't take my boss. He was inappropriate and misogynistic. If his personality matched his looks everything would be fine.
Mr. Cavill had a somewhat friendly face, the beard made him look even more friendly but when he opened his mouth his 'friendly' look went to shit. He was just an all around asshole.
After thinking about Mr. Cavill for almost an hour I emailed him my two week notice.
Dear Mr. Cavill, I would like to inform you of my intention to resign from Personal Assistant at Cavill Industries, effective two weeks from today. I appreciate the opportunities you have given me during my tenure at Cavill Industries.
I sent it off then closed my laptop for the night. I expected Mr. Cavill to be even more an asshole to me during my last two weeks hopefully I was wrong.
